DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Market the programme to SMEs, institutions of higher learning, students and external partners through telemarketing and events including career fairs, talks, field trips, etc.

Handle inquiries on programme from external parties

Evaluate applications based on the programme criteria

Follow-up and monitor the status of applicants, study award matches and grant funding through working closely with participating companies

The Equipment Technician II is responsible, as member of the interdisciplinary operation team, to provide technical support for production operations in meeting output and quality. · Undertake editorial and production tasks including editing, writing, and producing in alignment with ASME’s communications strategies. This includes the production of e-newsletters, annual reports, publications, speeches, media releases, etc.

· Produce and post digital content for ASME’s social media accounts.

· Ensure and maintain brand consistency for all company materials and collaterals.

Stakeholder Relations

· Support and/or organise stakeholder initiatives such as corporate visits, focus group meetings and dialogues, etc.

· Provide logistical and administrative support for events such as Council Meetings and AGM and Media Relations

· Media engagement for the publicity of the organisation’s activities.

· Draft news releases, craft media replies and coordinate media interviews.

· Maintain a current media database.

· Monitor news coverage on the organisation, executive council members and related industry news.

Event Comms

· Execute communications plans for key events.

· Develop and produce event promotional collaterals and videos.

· Provide other event support such as photography and emcee duties as assigned.

· Provide general administrative support as required.

Requirements:

· At least 1 year of relevant experience in corporate communications, public/media relations or related positions.

· Tertiary education in Mass Communications, Social Science or related disciplines.

· Strong artistic and aesthetic sense would be an advantage.

· Knowledge and a keen interest in current affairs.

· Ability to work independently and with a team.

· Thrives in a fast-paced environment and able to handle the pressure of meeting tight deadlines.

· Self-motivated and resourceful with good multitasking and organisational ability.

· Strong project management skills.
