· At least 3-5 years of sales engineering experience in Oil & Gas industries/ EPC within SEA regions.

Role purpose

• To provide administrative and legal support to lawyers, partners and clients.
• The position offers an opportunity for those with experience of working in an office environment to work in a law firm and train in a legal support role, potentially as a stepping stone to becoming a qualified lawyer.

Reporting structure

• Paralegals will report to the fee earner for whom they are working on each matter.

Principal duties

Office Administration and other responsibilities:

• Ensure that all new client matters are accurately set up in the client accounting and database system, including research to satisfy due diligence requirements
• Ensure files are kept up-to-date (including filing of emails and correspondence) when active and that files are archived once matter is concluded
• Organise diaries, schedule meetings and respond to telephone queries
• Identify and retrieve information necessary to support legal decision-making
• Assisting with the creation and formatting of documents and presentations for meetings and seminars being run by the team
• Develop a solid working knowledge of the law, legal terms, procedures and documentation
• Undertake project work when required
• Participate in the development of the practice's know-how, share knowledge and occasionally attend and participate in conferences, seminars and internal training
• Carry out client work allocated by and under the supervision of more senior fee earners and partners

Supporting the team by:

• Assisting lawyers in providing clear, concise and technically sound practical legal advice
• Drafting legal documentation
• Document management
• Transaction management and all aspects of case management
• Carrying out legal research and collating information
• Assisting in developing and expanding existing client relationships
• Assisting with the preparation of fee estimates and quotations
• Assisting with team-specific financials and matter management, e.g. budgets, WIP, aged debt reporting
• Assisting with billing

Professional/educational qualifications and experience

• Candidate must hold an undergraduate degree or legal conversion (LLB/GDL/LPC) or be educated to A level standard or equivalent and be willing to study towards obtaining a legal qualification
• Must possess a good understanding of the legal system as well as commercial awareness in order to be able to advise and support lawyers
• Ideally some Jersey legal experience or previous experience of working in a law firm or legal environment
• Ability to use precedents and timekeeping and billing systems
• High level of proficiency with MS Office applications
• Native Mandarin language skills would be highly desirable

PURCHASING COORDINATOR

1. Responsible for processing purchase requisition & sourcing of goods in meeting the requirements of internal customers.
2. Evaluate and control the performance of machining sub-contractors/suppliers.
3. Regular monitoring and update to requestors and the arrival of goods.
4. Negotiate contracts, keeping within budgetary requirements.
5. Assists in planning and managing inventory levels as well as providing general administrative and quality management support.
6. To meet all order fulfillment for material planning
7. Work with Production and various engineering departments to ensure customer order is met.
8. Communicate with customers (sales) on order related issues.
9. Monitor, prepare and present On Time Delivery performance trend
10. Work with other departments on continual improvement of planning process
11. Conduct annual evaluation of major suppliers and subcon.
12. Ensure any errors in the ERP are corrected before every end of the month and or before generating the WIP report.
13. Updating the ERP system once PO is issued.
14. Maintain documentation system up to date as per ISO requirements
15. Any other task instructed by your superior.
