About the Role

The Medical Writer and Analyst positions are ideal for those with experience in scientific research and for enthusiastic recent graduates in the sciences who are seeking the opportunity to be part of a growing team. You will be based in our Singapore office working in our Asia-Pacific team, as well as collaborating with colleagues from our UK and US teams.

Medical Writers and Analysts work on projects involving the detailed analysis of data from clinical trials and the assimilation and creative presentation of this analysis in different formats including posters, slide sets, value dossiers, reports and peer-reviewed publications. These deliverables are used directly by our clients in communication with external stakeholders instrumental to the successful uptake of novel therapies. The work is structured on a project-by-project basis and you will usually be working on several projects in different disease areas at any one time.

You will work in project teams alongside experienced colleagues in both the Singapore UK and US offices who provide one-to-one training in the technical aspects of the role, including project management and effective client communication. • Market Access: Market access supports timely patient access to drugs and devices, involving the assessment of clinical efficacy and safety alongside costs to determine the value of a therapy within a specific disease area. Market access activities are targeted at a wide range of stakeholders who are instrumental to the successful funding and uptake of novel therapies, such as government bodies, payers, health technology appraisal (HTA) agencies, HCPs, and patients. Our Market Access team supports a wide range of clients in producing materials to demonstrate both the clinical and economic value of some of the newest, most innovative technologies in development.   Analysts working across our Market Access services support a diverse range of value and access, HTA and health economics projects.   Our literature review and synthesis projects involve the identification of clinical, economic and real-world evidence to support the value of a pharmaceutical product or medical device. Our work includes rigorous systematic literature reviews that our Statisticians often use to conduct meta-analyses and network meta-analyses, therefore Analysts in this team work together with our Statisticians to provide seamless scientific and technical support to our clients. We also work on more creative and pragmatic evidence reviews to inform clients’ strategic decisions with regard to clinical development or market access. You will gain a thorough understanding of how to conduct various kinds of evidence review from searching to interpretation of statistical results and ensuring that the reviews conform to industry guidelines where applicable. You will also be involved in writing up the methods and results of the reviews and statistical analyses into engaging reports, slide sets and often congress/journal publications.

About the Role

Project Coordinators are based in each of our scientific divisions and support with a wide range of administrative, project coordination and scientific tasks. These divisions are broadly described as Evidence Development, Medical Communications and Market Access. The Project Coordinator will be primarily based in our Evidence Development division, but will work cross-divisionally, giving them the opportunity to explore a wide variety of project types and responsibilities.

The responsibilities of the Project Coordinator role are varied. In a typical week, the majority of your time will be spent overseeing the delivery of scientific work to our clients in the healthcare sector, with responsibility for the smooth running of projects. This will include identifying and suggesting improvements to processes, as well as implementation of these changes, with the aim of enhancing quality and efficiency within the team and, where appropriate, across the wider company.

• Contribute to Life Science projects for Antaes Asia clients

Own and oversee the Organizational Risk Management processes for the purpose of highlighting potential high-risk areas to the management team.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Outsourcing, New Product/Business check

• Reviewing outsourcing and third party management related documents such as policy, procedure, manual, and outsourcing register to comply with the new MAS outsourcing Notice, Guidelines and related documents.
• Ensuring, facilitating and supporting outsourcing process and framework are compliant with MAS Outsourcing Guidelines including consolidation of outsourcing reports to MAS
• Support other departments in new and periodic third party management reviews.
• Facilitate and provide support in setting up New Product Committee to study/review new products or businesses

2) Business Continuity Management

• Review and maintain the BCM framework to ensure compliance with regulatory requirement.
• Control, facilitate and consolidate BIA/BCP results from the business units
• Plan, coordinate and conduct BCP test, including call tree exercise.

3) Organizational Risk Management, Operational Risk Management

• Develop, review and maintain risk management tools to perform the required assessment
• Enhance the effectiveness of the existing Organizational Risk Management framework
• Control, facilitate and consolidate Organizational Risk Register to report to senior management
• Provide key support to facilitate the completion of the Residual Risk Assessment, working closely with the business units to identify key risks and controls, evaluate inherent and residual risks, and establish mitigation plans as needed
• Identify and assess key operational risk areas and control gaps. Work with the business units to mitigate the risk and improve controls where necessary
• Organize and facilitate Risk Committee and Operational Risk Committee in risk cartography process (bank’s risk assessment exercise) to identify the key organizational and operational risk and coordinate validation meetings with business units to review the key risks which will affect their areas and will assess and ensure there are action plans in place.

4) Branch Self Audit (BSA), Control Self-Assessment (CSA), Branch Manual List

• Managing Branch Self Audit
• Managing Control Self-Assessment Framework/activities and report to Head Office (HO)
• Managing a process to ensure Policies, Practice Guides and Procedures are reviewed and refreshed on a regular basis

5) Environmental Risk Management (EnRM)

• Maintain and develop a framework which appropriately manages environmental risks to meet expectations from the regulators with coordinating with related departments.

6) Others

• Assisting and supporting HO in all Organizational & Operational risk administration & projects deliverables
• Responsible for projects as and when assigned. Mentoring junior staff.
• Any other ad-hoc assignment as required

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree holder
• At least 4 year of relevant experience (especially hands on experience in outsourcing/ BCP management) in organizational/operational risk management in financial institutions
• Possess good communication skills required to engage stakeholders, escalate issues in a timely manner to management for direction and resolution
