OVERVIEW

CNBC Digital is looking to hire an Associate Editor on the APAC team, based in Singapore under a Fixed-Term Contract for 12 months. In this role, you will collaborate with CNBC’s digital team during Asia’s business day to assign, edit and write stories – all while meeting tight deadlines. You should have strong planning skills, some experience in mentoring junior reporters, and a desire to excel at curating the front page of a website while effectively communicating across teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the Deputy Managing Editor in overseeing a diverse team of journalists
• Act as the hot-seat for CNBC.com, managing and updating site content with strong editorial judgment and knowledge of business and financial news
• Assign and edit stories relevant to the APAC region
• Organize workflow and maintain the editorial calendar
• Brainstorm and pitch compelling features ideas that align with CNBC’s editorial strategy
• Write breaking news headlines quickly for mobile notifications, ensuring both accuracy and an appropriate tone
• Write breaking news and analysis stories as needed
• Act as a copy editor for CNBC.com, ensuring that all stories, features, video descriptions, and interactive content meet the highest quality standards and are published promptly

• RETAIL SALES DEVELOPMENT
  • Support SRM in building effective communication tools to share sales datas to retail team
  • Prepare weekly and monthly sales performance deck and present to Retail Team hand in hand with SRM
  • Assist SRM in building effective incentive plan based on marketing & business needs
  • Coordinate, verify and share result of incentive & commission to sales team on a monthly basis
  • Visit point of sales on a weekly basis and ensure counter / boutique needs are met

• RETAIL STAFF MANAGEMENT
  • Monitor key retail KPI and provide quantitative report to SRM
  • Review retail team productivity and gather retail team needs in term of coaching & training
  • Ensure new product launches information are well disseminated to the retail team:
    • Prepare deck including all information related to new launch in partnership with Marketing Team
  • Create a positive and strong synergy within the team, ensure positive mindset

• RETAIL EXCELLENCE
  • Lead Mystery shopping Execution
    • Communicate and feedback to the retail team on key learnings and areas of improvement
  • Assist SRM during in/out of store event and ensure perfect execution with high level of service
  • Lead Bee Gold App (CRM tool) campaigns execution to strengthen Retail Staff relationship with Guerlain members and increase retail sales:
    • Create campaign based on marketing & business priorities
    • Ensure customer focus list is well defined
    • Monitor, review and analyze campaign performance
  • Work hand in hand with Marketing Team on developing the high clienteling network by reviewing the database and spending of Guerlain customers

• REPORT / ANALYSIS
  • Provide weekly & monthly sales analysis on Guerlain’s performance
  • Provide Boutiques report on a monthly basis
  • Provide monthly competitor’s report
  • Create purchase order on a monthly basis for all retail matters

• Strategise and ideate content led solutions proactively and in response to brief with the wider team. Work with teams to define best-in-class work quality and empower them to deliver in a way that exceeds our client’s expectations and monitor the overall perception of quality and reporting.
• Be responsible for inciting new briefs across existing and new clients.
• Identify causes and make recommendations to account leadership on how to improve ways of working.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

• Responsible for the deliverables on assigned projects including brief response, briefing of the project to the third-party partners and client team management through the project to completion at highest level of quality.
• Ensure project revenue are up to date, from quotation to billing.

CONTENT EXPERTISE

• Knowledge of all aspects of our solutions across Insights, Strategy & Consulting, Content Creative & Production, Content Partnerships and Publishing & Distribution and how they apply across all aspects of the consumer journey.
• Continuous development and learning in and around the content space to advise and educate internal and external stakeholders.
• Understand how content is integrated into a media strategy and possess an understanding of social media data and landscape.
• Understand how brand and creative executions are developed into content led solutions and how they deliver on a client’s business objectives.
• Support team to develop case studies at the completion of each project.

The role will also require you to work hand in hand with local Publicis teams across Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Korea and Indonesia

Key Responsibilities

• Becoming a regional consultant and trusted adviser to regional stakeholders by continuously building a relationship and rapport with them
• Supporting big client mandates by implementing initiatives across different markets. These mandates range from first party data deployment to measurement
• Act as a regional police to ensure that cross-market campaigns are standardized by guiding local planning teams on what to do
• Serve as first level coach and supervisor for the team to support their knowledge of agency, client, vendor and industry basics as well as their overall skill development
• Be a jack of all trades when it comes to upselling or cross-selling Groupe solutions on top of the current scope of work to deliver more value to clients
• Be the person that finds new paths through partnerships and understanding of external and business environment as well as what is happening on the platforms to make recommendations and test new plans
• Becomes a project manager for regional workstreams ensuring end to end delivery of the work and tasks required
• Act as the single point of contact for all Power of One workstreams (Media, Creative, PR and other Groupe solutions) for new business workstreams
• Bridging planning efforts with activations by making sure that the local teams are always tied to the hip with the Center of Excellence team
