Introduction

This role is to support in establishing and improving the site-wide Safety policies, procedures and coordinate their effective implementation to identify potential hazards and risks of injury, ill-health, property damage or business interruption. Furthermore they are to assess and prevent unsafe work exposure via hazard elimination or mitigation controls in the operations.

Your Job

• Implement programs and monitor compliance to local Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) and Security legislations as well as GlobalFoundries’ EHSS programs for employees, contractors, suppliers, vendors and visitors.
• Promote safe conduct of work via EHS policies and procedures awareness of GlobalFoundries employees, contractors, vendors and other visitors
• Conduct site-wide Safety audits; create and follow up corrective and preventive actions as necessary to support the goal of zero non-conformity.
• Develop and conduct EHS training programs within specialty areas as necessary.
• Monitor regulatory developments, assess their applicability and impact, and recommend compliance measures.
• Support and implement corrective actions for legal Non-Compliance issues when required to do so.
• Responsible for Safety programs including but not limited to accident and injury prevention, emergency preparedness programs, compliance, targets and objectives.
• Perform or support risk assessments, Job Hazard Analysis and / or Pre-task Plans to mitigate potential risks to human health and environmental issues.
• Manage and maintain IH programs (e.g. Hazard Assessment, Monitoring and data analysis, Ergonomics, Personal Protection Effectiveness, etc.)
• Work with Occupational Health nurses and Company’s doctor to assess exposure risks/health management protocols and procedures.
• Support daily Safety and Emergency Response operations in a semiconductor environment including area inspections, equipment evaluations / Safety controls review, incident investigation, high risk permit review, sign-off and auditing, Safety Committee Meeting support, Contractor Safety aspects, Risk assessment review, Emergency Response / Preparedness aspects, Audit support, and other tasks as assigned or necessary.

Other Responsibilities:

• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs

Required Qualifications:

• A technology-related Bachelor’s degree / Bachelor of Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety with a minimum of 1 year of related experience; or a Master’s degree in a technology field
• Strong preference for those with experience in developing, implementing and maintaining proactive, environmental, health, safety and/or industrial hygiene programs.
• Demonstrated knowledge of applicable laws, regulations and agency practices are also required.
• Professional certification in environment, health, safety or industrial hygiene preferred.

About the role:

As a Data Engineering Intern at Rapsodo, you’ll play an essential role in building and optimizing the data infrastructure that powers decision-making and innovation throughout our organization. Key Responsibilities:

·       Participate in the design, development, and maintenance of Rapsodo’s data systems, using tools like Google BigQuery, Kafka, and GCP Pub/Sub.

·       Support data ingestion, processing, and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to deliver reliable data for analytics teams.

·       Collaborate with data analysts and scientists to ensure clean, structured data is available for analysis, reporting, and visualization.

·       Assist in the setup and monitoring of real-time data pipelines, learning to identify ways to streamline data ingestion and reduce latency.

The Challenge

Ingesting data from multiple external vastly different sources at hundreds of rich data points per second, moving terabytes of data while processing it in real-time, running complex and complicated prediction and forecasting AI models while coupling their output into a hybrid human-machine data refinement process and presenting the result through a nimble low-latency SaaS solution used by customers around the globe is no small feat of science and engineering. The Data Services Team is responsible for the developer platform, and the impressive Amazon AWS estate Vortexa uses to achieve its purpose. This includes two major areas of concern: infrastructure availability, security and costs, as well as developer experience.
