Job Description
· Provide professional SHE advice and support to country / business unit management teams and continuously engage with them in order to secure and strengthen their commitment to SHE.
· Implement and maintain effective SHE management systems to ensure compliance with SHE legislation, group / divisional policies and requirements and any other requirements to which the business subscribes.
· Implement and maintain Rentokil Initial approved risk assessment processes to ensure that generic and site-specific risks are identified, assessed and controlled.
· Develop and/or implement and maintain a SHE risk register which identifies the significant SHE risks arising from the business’s activities and the measures required to eliminate / reduce these risks to an acceptable level.
· Implement and maintain monitoring systems to evaluate progress towards the achievement of SHE objectives and targets; compliance with legislative requirements, group / divisional requirements and assess the overall effectiveness of the management system(s).
· Develop, implement and maintain monitoring systems to ensure that accidents, incidents and work-related ill-health cases are reported and investigated in accordance with group and local requirements.
· Assist to plan, prepare, conduct and report internal / external audits and inspections.
· Implement and maintain an effective SHE performance review and improvement planning process at business unit / branch level. Facilitate and participate in country and business unit SHE reviews.
· Ensure that any learning from the monitoring and review processes is integrated into the performance improvement plans and communicated effectively across the country / business unit, as required.
· Identify and spread SHE best practice across the country / business unit(s) range of business activities.
Requirements
· Formal SHE qualification (NEBOSH diploma, NVQ Level 4/5, degree, or equivalent).
· Minimum of 3 years experience as a SHE Practitioner
· Knowledge and experience of OHSAS 18001 and ISO14001.
· Professional membership of relevant SHE institutes is desirable
· Strong knowledge of MOM regulations
