Role Overview

The QA intern will support the quality and various project teams with validation needs in MasterControl, our cloud-based Quality Management System (QMS) for HSO.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist to perform validation duties to ensure software validation project and corresponding deliverables adhere to current regulations and quality standards
• Actively contribute towards continuous improvement of the quality team by suggesting new ideas and promoting innovative culture through improving and optimizing analysis of quality data and process workflows
• Provide support to record management and archiving activities
• Support post-migration and improvement activity works for the QMS
• Assist with QMS Modules improvement and maintenance activities
• Participate in team activities and initiatives related to QMS and regulatory requirements

Your internship would revolve around bringing our robot to market. You may be remunerated with a combination of salary and share options. This internship requires a candidate to have both an engineering background and a reasonable business acumen. Your internship would revolve around real-world industry deployments taking us from a TRL of 7 to 9. You may be remunerated with a combination of salary and share options.    • Design - most of our PCBs have been designed by interns, aiming to minimise free wires in the robot, speed up assembly, allow easy modification where needed. Generally connecting all modules, controlling power, providing a physical user interface…
   • Experiments - e.g. sourcing and testing various motor and driver combinations to pick for our drive system
4. Electrical assembly (only for R&D, our manufacturing is outsourced)
   • Outsourcing production of cable assemblies and PCBs
   • Where necessary to make modifications - soldering PCBs, soldering power cables, crimping cables
5. Embedded programming
   • Writing object oriented C++ code
   • Keeping the code clean and maintainable

The Mission Statement

Project name: Migrate SSIS components to Java spring batch

Context of the project: In Know Your Customer process, users sometimes need to load data in mass without going through a standard workflow in the application. To do that, they have a set of existing loaders, used to parse input file, perform some controls and load data in the application if the data provided fulfills proper criteria.

Goal of the project: Migrate loaders currently implemented in Microsoft SSIS technology, to a brand new Java spring batch. Reinforce the reliability of those loaders. Reinforce the code maintainability, add unit testing coverage and add in Sonar perimeter.

Internship mission statement: This internship will allow the intern to work on a real-case migration project to remove an obsolete technology and use state of the art technology instead. Java spring batch will be hosted in Kubernates container and will follow the full CI-CD pipeline (unit tests, Sonar check, …).

The benefit for the organization will be multiple, with an increase maintainability, reliability and performance of all loaders used by users.

The Role
