This position reports to the Group Engineering Manager and is part of the OMS Engineering Team. OMS Engineering department supports all the product lines of OMS and is responsible to design and define the specifications for the products.

Individual to be involved in:

1. Designing, calculating and drafting of product

2. Defining the product specifications and creating Bill of Material.

3. Testing and validating the products.

4. Supports all technical enquiry and problems.

Technical skills and competencies

1. Drafting skills - Draftsight (2D) and Solidworks (3D)

2. ERP Systems - Oodo System

3. Product Knowledge

4. Technical Calculating Ability

5. Project Management and effective communication Skills

Duration of Attachment is 6 months

Jobscope

Assisting the Technical Lead with the following:

• Concept General Arrangement for preparing proposals and Data Sheet
• Coordinating and monitoring the concept design team
• Preparing Technical Presentations
• Support Business Development/Marketing Team with their technical documentation

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Naval Architecture / Engineering in Marine
• Fresh graduates can apply and will be considered for a trainee position (training will be provided)
• Well versed in AutoCad, Ms.Office - Excel, Words, Powerpoint
• Excellent Communication skills
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

JobScope

· Capable to produce P&ID, E/R arrangement, Shafting drawings

· Familiar with IMO, Class rules & regulation and industrial standard.

· Familiar with marine system and equipment

· Experience in marine vessel P&ID system design, equipment sizing and arrangement, propulsion and power generation.

Requirement

· Diploma/Degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or relevant courses

· Preferably with 3 to 4 years Mechanical Field related to shipbuilding. Fresh graduate may apply and 6-months OJT will be provided.

· Able to do calculations, develop ship piping system, Engine Room Layouts, HVAC, Shafting, etc

· Advanced level skills in drafting and MS. Office (Excel & PPT)

· Possess good interpersonal and communication skills

· Able to multi-task and able to work in a fast-paced environment
