Job Description

The National University of Singapore invites applications for Research Assistant in Investigational Medicine Unit, Department of Medicine, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. Investigational Medicine Unit (IMU) was established to lead and facilitate investigational medicine research within NUHS through collaborations with academics and industry partners to translate laboratory discoveries. Purpose of the post

The Research Assistant (RA) will be responsible to, and work closely with, the Principal Investigator and study team members to ensure the successful completion of the trial on time in accordance with GCP, regulatory guidelines and institutional policies. The RA’s principal role will be to work in general practices such as recruitment, data collection, data entry and analysis.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The Research Assistant will liaise with the relevant personnel in hospital to smooth the process of recruitment and data collection and will be accountable to the Principle Investigator (PI). The RA will be able to:

1. Oversee the general management of the project;
2. Provide administrative and secretarial support to the project, such as organizing regular meetings to maintain regular communication with other members of the research team and collaborate with the study sites;
3. Undertake the day to day running of the project at the study site, e.g. Collaborate with team members at the study sites, recruitment, data collection at hospitals/participants’ homes;
4. Conduct literature searches, using SPSS to enter data, and analyze data and maintain trial database, as well as assist in preparing both progress and final reports of the project;
5. Maintain the highest standard of professional conduct and record keeping in accordance with policies and procedures;
6. Assist with any other duties of a similar nature that are delegated by the PI.

Qualifications

The applicant should:

1. holds a Bachelor degree in nursing/medicine/science or related disciplines;
2. be able to work independently and in a team, have an investigative nature, attention to detail;
3. have knowledge of applications, e.g. ICH-GCP, BCLS, EMR, MS office, PowerPoint;
4. have experiences in clinical research preferred.

I am looking for one highly skilled and motivated individuals to work with me as full-time research professionals for a period of at least one year. The start date is subject to negotiation, but may be as early as 1 March 2024.

You will work with NUS Business School Professor Karsten Müller at the Department of Finance. For the most part, you will support Karsten’s ambitious research agenda on the link between credit markets and the real economy. This work uses macro and micro data and cutting-edge statistical methods to understand the drivers and consequences of who in the economy receives credit. Among other things, you will help to (a) construct novel data sources to measure credit market conditions, (b) analyse data to document the role of credit markets in recessions and stock market crashes, and (c) analyse the effectiveness of financial policies and credit subsidies in stimulating economic growth.

You will work with us on a variety of tasks, including data collection and analysis, statistical programming and data visualization, conducting literature reviews, summarizing research findings and policy documents, and editing research papers. This position is ideal for individuals with strong interpersonal skills, the ability to manage themselves and others, and an interest in economic research.

The Assistant Clinical Training Co-Ordinator (ACTC) will work closely with the Clinical Training Co-Ordinator (CTC) to co-ordinate and monitor the assignment of patients to BDS students during the clinical phase of their training. Duties & Responsibilities:

• To input financial transactions into our internal accounting database system, and to confirm the accuracy of database information.
• To perform bank reconciliations.
• To input invoices to match with PO system.
• To keep daily accounting transaction updated and running accurately & effectively for month end reporting.
• To assist to track and maintain documentation & reconcile any discrepancies.

Warehouse Assistant (F&B), Singapore

As a Warehouse Assistant, you will be responsible for warehousing activities including loading and unloading, sampling of incoming materials, account physical receipt from vendors/suppliers, accurate issuance of materials to Production teams and perform timely outbound deliveries. You will assure and maintain a continuous effective support in the daily warehousing, production and supply chain operation, implicating the support to the production output.

The Position:

• Perform and account for physical receipt of materials from vendors/ suppliers.
• Perform sampling of incoming materials and put away to designated storage.
• Carry out timely and accurate issuance of materials to productions as required.
• Liaise operation between productions and warehouse/ 3PL.
• Liaise with other departments as and when required.
• Prepare and execute timely outbound deliveries.
• Ensure and carry out timely and accurate system inventory transactions.
• Compliance of rules and regulations stated by the organization. (e.g. GMP, HACCP, ISO90001, ISO140001, ISO180001& other Company Policies)
• Perform periodic cycle count/ stock take.
• Maintain good housekeeping and good workplace safety awareness.

The Ideal Candidate:

• At least a GCE N/O Level with minimum 1 year of working experience in relevant industry.
• Possess a valid forklift licence and Class 3 driving licence
• Able to lift heavy load up to 25kg and comfortable working in a strong smelling environment
• Proficient in SAP
• Willing to work on shifts and overtime when required
• A team player, independent and meticulous.
