• Assisting Senior Bakers: Collaborate with senior bakers to prepare ingredients, mix batters, and perform baking tasks according to recipes and instructions.
• Baking Preparation: Assist in the preparation of doughs, batters, fillings, and other ingredients required for baking various products, such as bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies.
• Operating Equipment: Operate and maintain baking equipment, including mixers, ovens, scales, and dough sheeters, ensuring they are clean, well-maintained, and functioning properly.
• Baking Execution: Assist in the baking and monitoring of products in ovens to ensure they are baked to the appropriate texture, colour, and consistency.
• Decoration and Finishing: Participate in the decoration, finishing, and presentation of baked goods, including icing, frosting, glazing, and garnishing, following established recipes and techniques.
• Quality Control: Assist in maintaining high standards of quality and consistency in baked products by adhering to recipes, portion sizes, and presentation guidelines.
• Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring ingredient inventory levels, notifying senior staff when supplies need to be replenished, and ensuring proper storage and rotation of ingredients.
• Cleaning and Sanitation: Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the bakery area, including workstations, equipment,utensils, and storage areas, in accordance with food safety regulations and standards.
• Assisting with Special Orders: Assist in fulfilling special orders, customer requests, and catering orders for baked goods, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in delivery.
• Learning and Development: Continuously develop baking skills and knowledge by seeking opportunities for training, learning from experienced bakers, and staying updated on industry trends and techniques.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other bakery staff members, including bakers, pastry chefs, and assistants, to ensureefficient workflow and contribute to a positive work environment.
• Following Safety Procedures: Adhere to safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents, injuries, and hazards in the bakery environment.
