The candidate should possess a strong background in molecular virology and/or immunology, and will utilize metagenomics sequencing and virologic techniques to understand the evolutionary dynamics of different RNA viruses. The candidate will be involved in developing antiviral antibody therapies in the prevention and treatment of virus disease.

The candidate is expected to perform a variety of research under the Principal Investigator’s supervision or his/her designate. The main duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following: -

• Conduct and design experiments for rapid molecular diagnosis and efficient genomic sequencing
• Perform bioinformatics and phylogenetic analyses
• Develop and test novel antiviral preventive or therapeutics against virus infections.
• Conduct in vitro and in vivo experiments to study virulence and pathogenesis.
