The new organization we defined is based on two main dimensions: Customer focus around our Key Accounts and Markets, and strong Service Areas.
Region Asia Pacific (APAC) is therefore seeking a Head of Section for our Energy Storage - Asia Pacific team, reporting to the Head of Department for Power Grids in APAC.
DNV Asia Pacific has a strong existing industry leading energy storage business, working with investors, developers and OEMs across the region. The Head of Section will optimize business operations and improve the long-term performance of the team. The ideal candidate would have a strong understanding of Energy Storage, and a good appreciation into industry trends.
The Head of Section will work closely on commercial opportunities to strengthen and expand business, including driving the doer/seller culture. You will direct service line activities and drive technical competence development within the team aligned with the DNV Energy Systems strategy. As the Team Lead for Energy Storage Technologies - Asia Pacific, you will have a focus on delivery and utilization, as well as gaining efficiency within the team. You will partner with Key Account Managers and many different stakeholders to deliver an excellent customer experience, while stimulating collaboration within your team as well across the organization.
Primary tasks of this role:
· Ensures an efficient & consistent delivery of services in line with customer expectations.
· Optimizes business performance through delivery management, cost-efficient business operations, improvement of the utilization rate and an aligned workforce plan.
· Empowers employees and encourages employability and individual growth.
· Creates a flexible workforce and automates workflows to deal with variable workload.
· Builds and strengthens a strong internal culture based on company’s values.
· Supports the Head of Section in strategy and decision making.

· Ensures that employees have the required technical competences and owns the pipeline for technical talent.

· Owns talent pipeline and development of technical talent/future needed capabilities.
Position Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
· An interest in managing a technical team, with the proven ability of developing a high-performance culture in a fast-paced changing complex and ambiguous environment.
· Proven leadership skills to engage, develop and motivate employees.
· Good understanding of the market / industry drivers and challenges (market foresight), exceptional commercial awareness, good and proven business development ability within this sector.
