POSITION SUMMARY

This role will focus on the market training, adoption and operational systems enhancement, and not the IT setup, coding of systems or vendor management.

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Strategic Sourcing/ Supplier Relationship Manager for our client. In this role, you will oversee third-party risk processes and manage relationships with key suppliers, ensuring a resilient and collaborative network. You will stay updated on market trends and technological advancements, contributing to strategic planning and ensuring a sustainable supply chain. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align supplier strategies with business objectives and manage vendor risk, performance, and compliance. You will report to the Head of Department.

Job Description

• Develop and execute Strategic Sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives, while managing relationships with key suppliers.
• Conduct market intelligence and analysis to inform decision-making, ensuring a resilient and sustainable supply chain.
• Lead business reviews with suppliers at C-suite level and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve purchasing efficiency and supplier management.
• Establish and maintain vendor performance standards and continuously improve vendor management programs.
• Oversee vendor onboarding, risk management processes, and ensure compliance with governance standards.
• Perform regular risk reviews and manage escalations related to vendor performance and contractual issues.
• Provide expert guidance on best practices for Vendor Management to internal teams and business partners.
• Maintain accurate vendor profiles and ensure timely updates for ongoing risk and performance monitoring.
• Responsible for any other ad hoc duties assigned.

Requirements

• Relevant Diploma or Degree in Business Administration or relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management, or third-party risk management.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate and influence stakeholders, delivering results.
• Strong analytical skills in bid analysis, cost analysis, fair-value analysis, and scenario modelling.
• In-depth understanding of third-party risk management and corporate compliance.
• Strong verbal and interpersonal skills, adept at building relationships with internal teams and external partners.
• Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal, with proficiency in presenting updates and challenges.
• Ability to engage with multiple management levels.
• High level of integrity, dependability, and a strong sense of urgency.
• A desire to thrive in a hard-working, fast-paced and collaborative team.
