• Lead strategy/ product direction, owning the end to end merchant experience
• Identify industry trends, conduct market / competitor / user research for Merchant products and tools
• Manage senior stakeholders - have strategy and planning discussions with business leaders and provide execution updates, co-own financial targets for the performance of the product
• Identify key levers that have the most impact on business, and share creative product solutions
• Work with a diverse and multicultural team from diverse backgrounds
• Lead a team of product managers - take ownership of merchant products, from product ideation, design, technical development, testing and roll out, to post-launch improvements and iterations
• Partner closely with engineering, UX, data, operations and finance leaders and local / regional teams to build product solutions for merchants in each market
• Collaborate closely with product marketing and commercial teams to drive GTM strategy, ensure strong internal stakeholder communication in place
• Merchant products include ecommerce platform plugins, ShopBack for Business, merchant payment app & API integration product, merchant settlement & reporting, centralized & automated merchant data service, and other merchant tools

Requirements

• A proven history of success in product management roles: min 5 years in product management and have grown to lead product manager roles and have shipped products as an individual contributor and also have led teams to ship products with well defined metrics
• People management experience: you’ve been responsible for performance management, have navigated tough conversations with direct reports, and you feel comfortable supporting product managers to achieve their career goals
• Entrepreneurial mindset: you must be comfortable rolling up your sleeves, thriving in ambiguity, and getting the work done with uncertainties and able to react fast to change when needed
• Prior experience in owning / driving the building and shipping of complex, SaaS products at scale is preferred, must have good understanding about B2B products, compared to B2C products
• Prior experience in managing complicated systems (e.g. payment system, trade system, order system, merchant platform) is preferred
• Passionate about pushing boundaries and creating value in your product space - the role is not about just doing the minimal, genuine excitement for solving problems and a strong sense of empathy for merchants and their staff are needed
• Strong communication skills to effectively communicate business or technical information with different audiences verbally or in writing.
• Bachelor’s degree required, computer science related disciplines are preferred

Purpose of the Job

• Support the Head of Planning and Performance Management in corporate and strategic planning, and performance management across the organisation.
• Formulating business and investment plans, and strategic initiatives, aligned to the overall strategy of AET and the MISC Group.
• Lead performance management activities primarily through Balanced Scorecards (BSC) aligned to strategic objectives and the business plan.
• Assist in the evaluation and execution of potential business ideas, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate projects.
• Contribute to business and market intelligence by analysing key industry trends, socio-economic and political environment, legal and regulatory issues, and competitors.

Key Accountabilities

Business Plan: During the planning cycle, engage key stakeholders to prepare the business plan in conjunction with the budget. Key components and inputs include:

• External Environment Analysis (EEA)
• Global energy outlook
• Market outlook and competitive landscape
• Forecast of time charter equivalent (TCE) rates
• Forward revenue model
• Opportunities and threats
• Other business drivers

Business Plan Execution: Oversee the implementation of strategy and business plans. This involves translating strategic objectives into actionable operational plans, aligning resources, and setting clear objectives and KPIs for the team.

Performance Management: Working with stakeholders, formulate the Balance Scorecards (BSC) for the group and for each division including agreeing KPIs and target. Regularly monitor and report on the progress towards achieving targets. To identify potential issues and propose corrective interventions where required. At the end of the financial year, the BSCs are to be evaluated and scored.

Corporate Transactions and Exercises: Assist in executing corporate transactions in line with strategic plans and objectives and in compliance with regulations and company policies. This includes conducting due diligence, economic and financial evaluation, and risk assessment.

Special Projects: To plan and execute special projects and strategic reviews as required to support decision-making.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including counterparts across the MISC Group, consultants and research houses, ship brokers and industry groups.

Compliance: Comply with Company's policies and Code of Conduct and Business Ethics (CoBE) and ensure all activities comply with company policies and regulations.

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree preferably in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Engineering or Law

Experience:

• 8-10 years of relevant experience in strategy, corporate planning, management consulting, corporate finance, audit or business development. Experience in the maritime/shipping, energy or transportation industries preferred.

Responsibility:

• Conduct market research to understand the industry trends, business opportunities, customer needs, and revenue potential of various segments and target customers;

• Design the end-to-end solutions for target industries and business scenarios; translate customer problems and value propositions into product requirements, and collaborate with AI experts and engineers to turn them into technical specifications that ensure product success;
• Coordinate with in-house AI & Optimization team, work closely with the internal team responsible for implementing and configuring the resource optimization solution.
• Lead cross-functional teams throughout the entire product development life cycle, from ideation to launch and beyond;

Qualifications:
