Job Summary
The Head of Human Resource is responsible for overseeing and directing all aspects of the human resources function within the organization. This role plays a critical part in developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and initiatives to support the achievement of business objectives. The Human Resource Director serves as a strategic partner to senior management, providing guidance on talent management, employee relations, organizational development, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Strategy and Planning:
â—Ź Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
â—Ź Collaborate with senior management to identify HR priorities and initiatives that drive business success.
â—Ź Provide expertise and guidance on workforce planning, talent acquisition, and succession planning.
Talent Acquisition and Retention:
â—Ź Develop and implement effective talent acquisition strategies to attract and retain top talent.
â—Ź Oversee the recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection.
â—Ź Collaborate with hiring managers to ensure the organization has a diverse and skilled workforce.
Employee Relations and Performance Management:
â—Ź Ensure fair and consistent application of HR policies and procedures throughout the organization.
â—Ź Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on employee relations matters.
â—Ź Implement and oversee performance management processes, including goal-setting, performance reviews, and development plans.
Organizational Development and Change Management:
â—Ź Lead initiatives related to organizational development, culture, and change management.
â—Ź Identify opportunities to improve organizational effectiveness and employee engagement.
â—Ź Facilitate training and development programs to enhance employee skills and performance.
Compensation and Benefits:
â—Ź Oversee the design and administration of compensation and benefits programs.
â—Ź Conduct compensation analysis to ensure market competitiveness and internal equity.
â—Ź Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to compensation and benefits.
HR Policy Development and Compliance:
â—Ź Develop, implement, and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks.
â—Ź Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations at the local, state, and federal levels.
â—Ź Monitor and analyze HR metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
HR Data Management and Reporting:
â—Ź Oversee the management and security of HR data, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
â—Ź Utilize HRIS systems and other HR tools to streamline HR processes and generate accurate reports.
â—Ź Analyze HR data to identify insights and trends that inform strategic decision-making.
Leadership and Team Management:
â—Ź Lead and develop the HR team, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
â—Ź Foster a positive work environment that promotes collaboration, innovation, and high performance.
â—Ź Allocate resources effectively and ensure the HR team operates efficiently.
Qualifications and Requirements:
â—Ź Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., SHRM, IHRP) is preferred.
â—Ź Good knowledge of Employment Act in Singapore and Malaysia labour law.
â—Ź Proven experience in a senior HR role, with at least 10 years of experience in a leadership capacity.
â—Ź Comprehensive knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
â—Ź Strong strategic thinking and business acumen, with the ability to align HR initiatives with organizational goals.
â—Ź Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse workforce.
â—Ź Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
â—Ź Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to make data-driven decisions.
