Asia General Account Investments is the investment function for Manulife’s Asia Segment Life Insurance assets. The General Account Investments team manages assets across a range of asset classes directly, manages allocations across asset classes and oversees assets outsourced to Manulife Investment Management investment desks. At Manulife we have a strong history of investment management expertise and capability, driven by the collective capabilities of the Manulife Investment Management public markets and private markets and General Account Investment desks combined.
Global Investment Rotation is a 6-month rotation with intensive on-the-job training and personal development. Candidates will have the opportunity to gain experience in one of the General Account Investment teams in Singapore.
General Account Investments
o Investments Strategy and Asset Allocation
o Fixed Income Portfolio Management
o Alternative Assets Portfolio Management
o Credit Analysis and Origination
o Asset and Liability Management
o Finance and Business Advisory
Successful applicants will be mentored by a senior executive during the 6-month program.
We are looking for someone with:
o Bachelor or Master of Finance, Economics, Accounting or related subjects
o One year’s working experience after graduation
o Strong academic achievement with GPA 3.5 or above
o Demonstrated knowledge and experience in accounting, financial or investment, strong analytical techniques
o Familiarity with a variety of financial products and services
o Agile, creative and show initiative while working in a challenging and fast paced environment
o Strong written and oral communication skills
o Solid computer experience in Office with a strong aptitude for learning new software packages
o Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
o Result oriented
