- Our Markets Traders identify, analyse and execute opportunities in the market, supporting the needs of our clients in a professional and fully compliant way. Our Markets business aims to become the leading emerging markets fixed income, financing, and securities service franchise, and a leader in sustainable finance, advisory, trading and asset servicing.
- The business will achieve this by expanding product capabilities, building on footprint market strength, developing our talent and using technology to transform our ways of working. About Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB)
- For more than 170 years we’ve support clients with their transaction banking, financial markets, corporate finance and borrowing needs and provide solutions to nearly 20,000 clients in the world’s fastest-growing economies and most active trade corridors.
Key Responsibilities
- Sustainably grow franchise revenue by supporting our clients, acting as a market-maker and effectively manage our risk exposures.
- Manage and execute trading strategies and ensure long term economic profit goals are achieved.
- Develop market making strategies in target markets.
- Ensure trading activities are compliant to standards based on risk-weighted asset and return on equity targets management.
- Ensure budget targets are cascaded to teams with product targets, and proactively performance manage targets through to delivery.
- Collaborate with global Relationship Managers, Capital Structuring and Distribution Group and Financial Market Sales to identify clients needing solutions that the public market cannot provide.
- Identify, analyse and drive profitable trading opportunities to client requirements and goals, for example – supporting the growing demand for sustainable finance.
- Navigate new trading markets and capitalise on new sustainable finance opportunities, for example - Carbon Credit Trading.
- Leverage emerging technologies to digitise trading, including Cognitive Algorithmic Trading platform to monitor market risks, real-time inventory, pricing negotiation and business insights.
Our Ideal Candidate
- Financial mathematics and financial products.
- 5 + years of Experience of EUA Compliance markets with experience of trading in EUAs option.
- Risk management, financial and credit analysis.
- Experienced in using and adapting to client behaviors and preferences.
- Financial Services industry and regulatory experience.
- Economic analysis and modelling.
