Responsibilities

• Responsible for the quality management of machined products to ensure that product quality
• Ensuring that our internal management systems are well defined and relevant in meeting international standards and customer requirements.
• Lead and monitor the QMS incl. ISO9001 & ISO 14001 quality system certification and promote continuous improvement.
• Lead the quality team to implement quality inspection and control and manage non-conforming products.
• Participate in supplier evaluation and management to ensure the quality of raw materials and purchased parts.

Requirement

• Minimum Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
• At least 3 years of quality management experience in the machining industry
• Proficient in using office software and mintab statistical analysis software, and possessing Six Sigma quality management knowledge and skills, e.g. SPC tools & 8D reports.
• Strong knowledge and experience in leading ISO9001 & ISO 14001 quality system certification.

Our development team is using some of the latest technologies such as Kafka, Redis, Kubernetes, Spring Boot and Selenium. We embrace DevOps, automated testing, monitoring and error reporting.

The Senior Java Developer role will have the following responsibilities:

Software Engineering/Programming

• Design and develop back-end systems in our e-commerce platform.
• Automate testing, deployment and monitoring.
• Collaborate with the CTO to implement the product development road-map.

Skills and Characteristics

• Self-motivated: You are expected to manage the different priorities of tasks assigned to you and manage your own time.
• Ownership & Responsibility: You are required to drive changes and improvements taking full ownership from idea to implementation.
• Responsible: You are expected take responsibility together with the rest of the development team to develop and manage our software solutions long-term.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Excellent competence in Java, Spring and JavaScript is required. Competence is more important than working experience. A candidate would typically have a minimum of 3 years relevant working experience but exceptions can be made for outstanding candidates.
• Experience developing web and stand-alone applications in Spring technologies such as: Spring Boot, Spring REST.
• Hands-on experience with MySQL (or any relational databases), data storage, archiving and retrieval.
• Experience with secure coding practices and resolving system vulnerabilities.
• Experience in managing and troubleshooting Linux systems.
• Proficient spoken and written English.

Nice to have but not required:

• Experience in unit testing frameworks and in test driven development.
• Experience in DevOps and GitOps and common frameworks such as Gitlab.

This is a permanent full time position. The job location is at BullionStar's headquarter at 45 New Bridge Road.

Salary and Benefits

The salary is dependent on your capability, experience and skills. The typical starting salary is SGD 7,000-11,000 per month plus up to two and a half month's bonus salary with a minimum bonus salary of one month. BullionStar furthermore offers reimbursement of medical bills and access to an employee health and fitness benefit program.
