Position Overview:

The welding Inspector ensures that welding work complies with established safety and quality standards. This role involves inspecting materials, welds, witness NDT, reviewing welding procedure specifications (WPS), and maintaining compliance with applicable international codes/standards, Singapore standards, project specifications, and client requirements. The Welding Inspector plays a critical role in ensuring the quality, integrity and safety of welded components, contributing to the success of fabrication, installation and completion for construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform visual inspections as per approved ITPs.

1) Visual inspections to raw materials, semi-products related to welding activities as per approved engineering drawings, verify associated mill certificates.

2) Before welding begins, visual inspections to fit-up, verify WPSs, welding consumables and base metals to be used for welding are proper.

3) Visual inspections to welds on structure and piping components, ensure welding quality complies with applicable WPSs, welding standards and project specifications.

4. Training and Coordination:

1) Provide guidance and training to welders on WPSs, welding code/standards, acceptance criteria, and best welding practices.

2) Coordinate with project welding engineers, subcontractors’ supervisors, subcontractors’ QC inspectors to close SORs, punches, resolve non-conformance issues, improve their welding quality, ensure project welding quality standards are met.

Job Scope

Responsibilities

1) Role and Responsibility

a) Lead the sales activities to the assigned region in Central Asia and South Asia for MOII group portfolio of products

b) Manage the entire trade process from negotiation, sales to contract signing to supply delivery and receipt of full payment.

c) Capture the sales against the agreed target volume and margins with the existing customer base and new customers.

d) Work closely with the company support teams to ensure contracts are executed smoothly within the company guidelines and policies.

e) Manage any customer feedback on the supply of the goods and follow up with the appropriate corrective action.

f) Visit each of the assigned markets at least 2 times a year to sell, build relations with the customers, follow-up on new product development and update management of market development and new business potential on the ground.

2) Must have extensive experience:

a) Minimum of 10 years in the oils and fats industry.

b) Of this a, minimum of 5 years in international sales.

c) Experience in selling specialty oils and fats (eg cocoa butter alternatives and pastry margarines)

d) Selling experience to different segments of markets including industrial customers and distributors.

e) Has managed overseas distributors / agents, by setting sales targets, give product training, follow-up on new business.

f) Able to understand intrinsic needs of customers using specialty oils and fats by recommending the appropriate products to achieve the desired final product.

g) Has the ability to guide the customers with food trends and suggest appropriate product type in collaboration with our R&D applications team.

3) Other requirements:

a) Has a science-based / engineering-based degree from a recognized- university.

b) Able to communicate clearly with presentation in Power-Point to customers and management.

c) Able to travel 2 weeks in every 6-8 weeks.

Responsibilities:

· To assist Chief Officer in developing strategies and set directions for increasing project pipelines and expansion of Engineering and Port Operations business for Company.

· To assist Chief Officer in the creation and execution of annual Roadmap action plan to implement the approved Business Development strategies and direction.

· Responsible for the allocation and management of resources to drive projects or assigned regions/ countries based on priority and strategy.

· Oversee the achievement of Business Development activities on their assigned projects towards milestones or conclusion or to realize objectives of assigned regions/ countries.

· Oversee the sound execution of all engineering projects carried out by Engineering Services Division in the commercial, legal, financial aspects and customer relationship during and post project execution.

· Oversee the effectiveness and efficiency of supporting functions in the Department.

· Management reporting and administrative duties for the Division.

· Oversee the training and development of Division members.

· Perform any other ad-hoc duties.

Requirements:

· Minimum 10 years’ working experience in a port/ maritime industry

· Minimum 4 years’ working experience in Business Development or commercial role

· Minimum 3 years’ working experience in management position

· At least a degree in Engineering / Management / Accountings
