BYD by 1826 uniquely combines car showrooms with dining experiences
and is a leader in Singapore's automotive and hospitality sectors. The Business
Development, Service & Marketing (BDSM) team is a newly minted team that is looking
to rebrand and transform the various spaces one at a time. The team is looking to re-
activate and rejuvenate the existing F&B outlets as well as creating a congruent core
brand identity globally. Not only will the spaces serve to house BYD clients but it will
also act as an event space for BYD and their potential clients.
Role Overview: As Assistant Project Manager you will be reporting and working
together with the Senior Event/Experience Manager to oversee and manage the
execution of key projects from initiation to completion. The role requires strong project
management skills and an ability to delivery multiple projects on time, within budget,
and to the highest quality standards. The role is a collaborative one where new ideas
and solutions can be tested to explore what works for each project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Senior Event Manager in the creation and execution of project plans.
- Tracking timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure timeline completion of projects
- Sourcing for potential vendors and ensuring their credibility in executing various project works
- Liaising, working and maintaining good relationships with hired vendors for the various projects
- Supporting the management of daily project tasks, ensuring they are completed on schedule
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including action items and status reports. Ensuring that all project-related information is organised and accessible for team members and stakeholders.
- Communicating between internal teams, vendors and stakeholders to ensure that project milestones are being met on time
- Collaborating with internal teams to ensure that project objectives are met
- Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and project delivery
Qualifications:
- Minimally 2-3 years of experience in project coordination, project management of a related role
- Able to work well in a team and independently
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Able to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Strong communication skills
- Able to think on the go and problem solve various scenarios
- Adaptable to a constantly changing work environment
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suit and project management tools
