The Nanyang Technological University NTI-NTU Corporate Laboratory is seeking to hire a Research Scientist. The selected candidate will innovate hybridized composite materials and thin film coatings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Optimize vacuum coating processes, and leading R&D efforts in material science for application development.
• Drives the development and implementation of coating techniques.
• Conducts various design simulations to refine processes.
• Oversee the transition from experimental designs to scalable solutions.

Job Requirements:

• Ph.D. in a relevant engineering or science discipline is required.
• At least 5 years of combined specialized post-doctoral experience in industry or a recognized research institute.

Job Description

• Support the Accounting department by performing daily accounting duties, including processing and recording transactions, fielding communications with clients and vendors, fact-checking, filing etc.

Job Description:

• Provide on-site supervision for civil, demolition and building structural construction works and ensure works carried out in accordance with the contract specifications and regulations, such as Building Control Act & Regs and Workplace Safety & Health Act & Regs.
• Inspect materials and workmanship.
• Manage and oversee a RTO in supervising various aspect of the project including demolition, ERSS, backfilling works, cut & fill and all others related works.
• Prepare progress reports.
• Read and interpret drawings and details of projects.
• Review MOS, RA and Request for Inspection form from the Builder; carry out inspection and provide standing supervision for the demolition and ERSS works.
• Ensure all required forms to be filled up properly by Builder's representative before work commence.
• Ensure all required permits granted by authorities including BCA, NPark, LTA, PUB before allow the Builder to proceed with the works.

Requirements:

• The Resident Engineer (Civil) shall be a degree holder from recognized university by PEB with at least 5 years of relevant engineering experience including supervision of demolition/construction work.
• Accredited as Resident Engineer by IES/ACES.

• Ability, analyze and perform variance analysis between actual and budgeted costs
• PC skills with proficiency in MS Office, and Primavera Software tool. Overall Job Purpose
• Forecast payments from Vendors/Subcontractors for the monthly invoicing to client.
• Review invoices for accuracy and ensure that costs being in line with project budget and correct Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) code.
• Review Work Order’s and Purchase Order’s for accuracy ensure that costs being in line with project budget and correct WBS code.
• Budget setup, allocation and re-forecasting according to WBS structure and ensure costs are capture in Project Tools.
• Generate Variation/Change Orders and maintain Variation/Change Order status registers.
• Coordinate with other discipline Engineers, Project Manager’s and Deputy Project Manager’s, etc to prepare and generate Monthly Project Cost Reports.
• Continually monitor, tracking, review and forecast project cost and expenses.
• Troubleshoot abnormalities in cost reporting data and liaise with other disciplines as necessary.
• Close monitoring of project manning plan, review, forecast and update.
