CARES is leading a new project “Sustainable Manufacture of Molecules and Materials (SM3)”, funded by NRF CREATE programme within the Decarbonisation Grand Challenge. The broad aim of the project is to develop novel approaches and technologies for fully de-fossilised routes to complex functional molecules and molecular materials. The project will explore novel chemical transformations for conversion of net-zero feedstocks to building blocks typically used in pharma, agrochem and other end applications. The project will also explore novel synthetic methods for conversion of the building blocks into end-use functional molecules. Novel synthesis technologies (photoelectrochemistry, sonochemistry, mechanochemistry, etc), as well as advanced research methods (AI, chemoinformatics, high-throughput synthesis) and process metrics (LCA and technoeconomic analysis) are included in this large project.

Who are we looking for?

Are you a talented artist with a passion for creating captivating visuals? Are you skilled in 2D animation and creating stunning visual effects that bring games to life? Join our creative team at OneMT as a Mobile Game Artist!

Job Responsibilities:

• Produce high-quality animations for characters, creatures, UI, and special effects, bringing them to life with fluid motion and personality.
• Conceptualize and create captivating visual effects (VFX) to enhance gameplay.
• Collaborate closely with game designers and developers to integrate artwork seamlessly into the game, ensuring a cohesive visual experience.
• Iterate on artwork based on feedback from the team and playtesting, striving for continuous improvement and polish.
• Coordinate and manage art outsourcing schedules, ensuring timely delivery, maintaining quality standards, and adhering to game requirements.
• Generate art assets and maintain visual consistency for live-ops events, marketing initiatives, and diverse project needs.

Job Requirements:

• Education in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Digital Art, or related field / experience.
• Strong proficiency in digital art tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator.
• Proven experience as a game artist specializing in 2D and/or 3D animation techniques and tools.
• Capability in creating visually stunning VFX using particle effect tools.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a startup-like environment.
• Passion for gaming and a deep appreciation for the role of art and design in creating memorable gaming experiences.
• Bonus points for experience in launched & live games.
• Bonus points for experience in UI, UX, concept art, illustration.
• Portfolio showcasing relevant work. Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.
