Element has an opportunity for an Chemist to join our rapidly expanding team. As a member of the operations team, you will perform a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under minimal direct supervision.

This role is based in Sungei Kadut Loop, Singapore.

Job Duties:

• Conduct testing of environmental samples of wastewater, trade effluent. Leaching test of building materials. Suitability test of water
• Conduct chemical analysis using wet chemistry methods, HACH & APHA methodologies as well as ICP, TOC, IC, FTIR, UV_VIS instrumentation.
• Ensure reagents preparation, QA/QC and test methods are in compliance with ISO 17025 requirement.
• Upkeep equipment calibration, maintenance, and verification for lab quality management compliance.
• Perform sampling & on site testing when required
• Maintain 5S, Lab Safety Management and Chemical Inventory.
• Ensure chemicals and consumables availability and request for replenishment when necessary

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry or Chemical Process or Analytical course
• Proficient in using equipment eg IC, ICPMS, ICPOES, GC-MS could be added advantage
• In-depth understanding of testing concepts
• Ability to analyze and compile testing data from the tests performed
