Job Overview

The Laundry Operator is responsible for washing, drying, folding, and pressing clothing, linens, and other textile items. They must operate and maintain laundry machines and ensure items are cleaned according to company and safety standards.

Job Descriptions & Requirements:-

• Operate washing machines, dryers, and pressing machines.
• Load and unload laundry from machines in a timely and efficient manner.
• Adjust machine settings based on fabric type and load size.
• Sort linens, clothing, and other laundry items by color, fabric, and washing instructions
• Identify items that require special treatment or dry cleaning.
• Inspect laundry for stains, tears, or damage and report these to supervisors
• Apply appropriate stain removers or special washing techniques.
• Safely use detergents, bleaches, fabric softeners, and other chemicals.
• Follow all safety protocols for handling chemicals and machines.
• Ensure the laundry area is clean and organized at all times.
• Regularly clean and maintain laundry machines and related equipment.
• Fold and press laundered items neatly and according to company standards.
• Ensure linens and clothing are wrinkle-free and well-presented.
• Address customer concerns and special instructions when needed.
