We are seeking a highly motivated research fellow to join our dynamic team at the School of Materials and Science Engineering at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. We are looking to hire a leading scientist with the expertise in microbiology. Some experience in materials science and engineering would be ideal. The successful candidate will contribute to cutting-edge research at the intersection of materials science, advanced manufacturing, robotics, and sensing.

Key Responsibilities:

• To isolate, identify and investigate how probiotics can impact growth rate and health of fish in the aquaculture industry
• Develop and formulate encapsulation systems for the delivery of probiotics
• Conduct growth trials and challenge tests with research collaborators to understand the impact of functional fish feeds vs existing feeds

Job Requirements:

• PhD qualification with relevant research experience in the stated fields like Materials Science Engineering
• The candidate will be hired in an aquaculture-related project that funded by a government agency.
• The candidate will be working as a part of a research team to provide expertise knowledge and skills in microbiology and materials science to address to the hypothesis in the project.

Responsibilities:

• Support ports in achieving outbound/inbound targets and optimize vessel allocation.
• Monitor and analyze vessel performance, loading factors, daily positions and allocation to take necessary actions.
• Resolving any operational issues that may arise from commercial perspective.

• Maintain pricing efficiency, costs and provide analysis on contribution.

Role

Applied Global Services (AGS) offers consulting, spare parts, and services to improve the performance and productivity of customer’s equipment and fab operations. Industry trends— materials engineering, remote access, deep learning, and augmented reality—have led to significant advances in how the AGS group supports its global customers. From development through production, as device specifications become more stringent, AGS’ service offerings have helped customers achieve important yield, output, and cost improvements at every step of the semiconductor fab life cycle.

Applied Materials is looking for an experienced executive to provide overall vision and direction for AGS in the APAC region. He/she will be responsible for metric reporting and forecasting, leading the organization through performance and process improvement, and setting overall budget and strategic direction. This position requires close coordination and strong working relationships with other regional functional departments as well as division and headquarters' functional leaders.
