Based in Singapore, the Manager, Contracts and Procurement will report directly to the Senior Director, Finance, Legal, and Business Operations and play a pivotal role in driving efficiency and compliance across the company’s procurement and contract management functions. This position will be instrumental in optimizing processes, leading the accurate accounting for new contracts and ensuring alignment with corporate policies and strategic objectives.

The Manager, Contracts and Procurement, will be managing the organization’s contract lifecycle and procurement activities. This includes overseeing contract compliance, leading the accurate provisioning of contracts, supporting procurement initiatives and working closely with member airlines to identify and implement strategic sourcing opportunities that deliver measurable value.

Job Summary

Support Business Units:

• Oversee the procurement requirements of business units, ensuring adherence to corporate procurement policies.
• Provide expert advice and support to business units, including drafting requests for proposals (RFPs) and facilitating the procurement process.

Contract Policy Compliance:

• Manage and supervise compliance with the company’s contracts policy, ensuring all agreements meet internal policies and standards.
• Provide guidance to internal teams on contract-related matters to ensure consistency and compliance.
• Record and update all liabilities generated by contracts in the company’s ERP system.

Procurement Process Management:

• Support the development and implementation of efficient procurement processes across business units.
• Ensure compliance with the company’s procurement policies and guidelines at all stages of the procurement cycle.

Strategic Facilitation:

• Collaborate with member airlines to align procurement strategies and streamline processes.
• Act as a central point of contact to manage joint procurement opportunities effectively.

Economic Value Assessment:

• Evaluate procurement and contract activities to identify and maximize economic value.
• Prepare reports on the financial and operational impact of procurement initiatives.

Your Profile

• Proven experience in contract management and procurement within a corporate environment.
• Experience with Oracle is preferred.
• Strong understanding of procurement policies, contract compliance, and legal frameworks.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders to achieve strategic objectives.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to assess the economic and strategic impact of contracts and procurement activities.
• Confident but amicable communicator.

Decision Science colleagues will serve as a key member of the Credit and Fraud Risk organization. Qualifications:

• PhDs in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Operation Research and etc.) with hands-on experience leveraging sophisticated analytical and machine learning techniques. PhD degree with practical experiences NLP is a significant plus.
• Expertise in an analytical language (Python, R or the equivalent), and experience with databases (Hive, SQL, or the equivalent). Knowledge of SAS is a plus but not required.
• Deep understanding of machine learning/statistical algorithms such as deep learning and boosting. Experience with data visualization is a plus

Job Description:

Traveloka is seeking an experienced indirect tax professional to join our Tax team as a Senior Manager. Reporting to the VP of Tax, this role will be responsible for working with other Tax team members in driving our business partnering capabilities to proactively support Traveloka’s business expansion efforts, ensuring seamless alignment of tax strategies with overarching business objectives.

The Senior Manager will serve as strategic advisor to business teams, collaborating closely with business teams to understand their business goals, operations, and challenges on a proactive basis. This role will team with cross functional business and stakeholder teams for development and implementation of key strategic tax advice, and facilitate effective communication on tax requirements to all stakeholders.

The ideal candidate should be a motivated self-starter with good business acumen and be able to communicate complex tax concepts in ways that are relevant and meaningful to non-tax professionals. The candidate should have proven experience in international indirect taxes, and have strong collaboration skills to work in partnership with other tax and transfer pricing team members, as well as external tax advisors, to deliver holistic and practical tax solutions. Importantly, the candidate should be comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high degree of ambiguity and change, working with a high level of collegiality on projects spanning multiple teams.

In this position, you will:

• Serve as a trusted tax advisor to all areas of our business, building deep and meaningful relationships with all relevant stakeholders
• Management and coordination of all tax business planning and related business enquiries
• Assess business initiatives/enquiries to understand business goals and requirements on a proactive basis for purposes of tax analysis
• Drive standardization and automation of indirect tax processes
• Research and document tax issues, including coordination with external advisors and internal teams, and drafting technical memos/opinions
• Scope impact of new business initiatives on existing processes and systems
• Identify and track planning and policy trends for the geographies we operate in and proactively work with the business on updates required
• Develop commercially viable tax solutions that are consistent and scalable, and ensure projects launch with tax requirements and processes implemented
• Manage the delivery of tax deliverables, coordination and problem-solving across a multi-functional team, including business, legal, accounting, finance teams
• Effectively communicate tax solutions and requirements to internal stakeholders
• Reporting on planning initiatives and launches to tax and business leaders

Requirements

Basic Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Law or relevant related discipline
• 10+ years of tax experience working in large multinational corporations and either legal or public accounting firms
• Experience in international indirect taxes is a must, with ability to navigate direct tax and transfer pricing issues in partnership with support from internal and external advisors
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex tax issues effectively to non-tax audiences
• Knowledge of accounting principles, concepts and entries
• Good business acumen and interpersonal skills with ability to influence and build deep relationships with stakeholders at all levels
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively on multiple complex projects across cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within a multinational technology business is preferred
• CA (Chartered Accountant) or equivalent
• Experience with tax technology, automation and transformation
