We are looking for a driven and experienced professional to spearhead the promotion of our suite of funds and products to the wealth management channel (financial advisors, MFO/EAMs and Private Banks in Singapore). This position is ideal for someone with deep expertise in traditional fund sales to the wholesale and intermediary channel who can understand how to create successful partnership with this channel, and who is enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the ever-evolving digital asset sphere.

The Role:

3. Collaborative Teamwork:

Spearhead initiatives in partnership with marketing, research, and product teams to refine sales materials and strategies.

Represent the sales team in regional and global meetings, advocating for best practices and innovative approaches.

4. Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure adherence to company and regional regulatory standards throughout all sales activities.

Stay abreast of industry changes, regulatory updates, and best practices, ensuring the company’s proactive alignment.

Qualifications and Experience:

• To be a successful applicant, you are likely to meet the following criteria:
• Have 3-7 years of experience in fund intermediary sales or fund sales to high net worth individuals within a wealth management firm, with a track record of success.
• Outstanding relationship management and networking abilities.
• Experience with partnering with financial advisors, MFO/EAMs, Private Bankers and Securities Brokers.
• Willingness for regional travel as necessary.
• Familiarity with digital assets and blockchain technology and/or being a "tech geek" would be an advantage.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Programme Coordination: Coordinate events and engagements that facilitate meaningful interactions and dialogue between volunteers and senior participants.

Job Requirements:

• A recognised diploma or degree in a relevant field.

• Preferably possess at least 1 year of experience in community programming, event management, or cultural outreach, preferably in a museum, garden or exhibition setting, with a demonstrated focus on interactions that cater to a diverse range of audience profile

• An interest in local history, particularly that of the pre- and post- Independence decades and/or experience with culture/heritage/arts sector-related work is preferred, though not mandatory

• Good command of the English language (written and verbal) – candidates who are proficient in a Mother Tongue language will be considered favourably

As Language Manager for the Vietnamese speaking market, you will be involved in ensuring that we deliver a great user experience to our international audience through high quality translations. As we work closely with team members in remote offices and regional stakeholders, it is very important that the candidate be comfortable working with remote teams across different time zones.

• Reviewing, editing and/or translating high visibility UI content and high priority long form content of Meta family of apps and other core experiences in English-to-Vietnamese

This role manages the overall HR function in the Singapore office. This includes, but is not limited to, talent management, compensation and benefits, performance management, diversity and other global projects as and when required.

The core components of this role include but are not limited to:

Talent Management

• Business partner with the Heads of Departments and the wider departmental partner group to forecast and identify resourcing requirements for the practice group(s). This includes analysing headcount data, busyness metrics and importantly, understanding the specific needs, opportunities and challenges for the practice group and the lawyers within the group.
• Ensure new starters (lateral, NQs and trainees) are adequately introduced and integrated into dedicated practice groups.
• Manage the performance review process for the dedicated practice groups. Facilitate regular talent discussions with the partner group.

Compensation & Benefits

• In conjunction with the HR team, support the annual salary review process in terms of salary forecasting, bonuses and the preparation of staff communications.

Generalist activities

• Management of all HR issues for the dedicated practice groups (e.g. performance management, managing conflict, difficult conversations, managing absenteeism, etc).
• Provide staff with general HR policy advice, supporting employees with career development, planning, managing any workplace issues or concerns and provide counselling and advice where required.
• Identify and develop policy and procedure updates/amendments in conjunction with best practice, local legislation and global policy.
• Escalate partner and/or other complex HR issues to the Managing Director on an as-needs basis.
• At all times, consider HR best practice, developments in the industry and other non-specific opportunities to ensure the firm’s core competencies and values are upheld across all staff.

  Health & Wellbeing initiatives
  

Training

• Oversee the Singapore office induction process ensuring, with the support of the Senior/HR Officers, that the general firm welcome presentation and welcome ‘packs’ are relevant for lateral partners' induction/on-boarding schedule as well as for all new joiners.

Diversity

• Identify and bring to the table opportunities that will involve/educate our staff with regard to acceptance, inclusion and awareness of diversity within the workplace.
• Actively participate in the Singapore Talent & Diversity (T&D) Committee and, in conjunction with the committee members, act as primary coordinator on sponsorship opportunities, events and the like.
• Disseminate relevant information and attend relevant events on behalf of A&O Shearman.
• Reach out and create networks to maximise understanding of challenges, initiatives and best practice.

Project/Other

• Develop strong and meaningful relationships with colleagues and peers across the network.
• Participate in global / regional HR projects as and when required.
• Act as HR representative in local office initiatives such as social impact, diversity, social committees where relevant/interested.
