Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee day-to-day operations of the finance department.

The role will be responsible for a broad spectrum of managerial tasks, including supervision and guidance for the client service team, client and personnel management, as well as supporting key business activities in growing our presence in the local market.

• Manage multiple fund relationships, including supervision of various client service teams ensuring meeting of all client deliverables
• Responsible for quality and timeline delivery of services to clients. This includes:
• Review fund governing documents, offering documents, subscription documents, side letters, and investment management agreements, to ensure proper application of fund terms
• Review work paper files for accuracy and completeness, including capital activity, investment activity, income and expense accruals, valuation adjustments, etc.
• Develop/maintain robust review procedures around deliverables
• Responsible for the supervision of team members under your charge and this includes:
• Providing guidance and direction to staff on all technical and client-service-related topics
• Develop and support targeted, continuing education for all direct reports
• KPI setting, performance and career management
• Participate in new business discussions with prospects and existing clients
• Active participation in identifying and developing local opportunities and network through industry or proprietary marketing events
• Support corporate goals and business/departmental initiatives

Job Skills/Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 8+ years of experience in accounting, with a focus on alternative investments funds – private markets experience a plus
• CPA designation a plus
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of accounting, specifically with respect to alternative investment funds, with a focus on private markets funds
• Knowledge of IFRS. Knowledge of other accounting standards is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience supervising team of professional staff
• Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to multi-task
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, with advanced Excel skills

• Ensure timely and accurate reporting onto application (i.e., Oracle Hyperion Financial Management) on monthly and quarterly basis.
• Preparation of monthly accounting journals
• Collate data for monitoring of actual performance with budget and forecast numbers including but not limited to:

- Costs trackers to track actual spending against plan.

- KPI against targets

• Liaise and follow up with shared services on outstanding payments and receipts.
• Prepare balance sheet and audit schedules, and inter-company reconciliation
• Assist the team in coordinating and compiling data/ information for yearly statutory reporting such as audit and tax.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Accountancy, Business or similar fields
• Ability to do work with minimal supervision
