This leadership role is responsible for overseeing the financial operations and accounting functions within the Finance & Accounting department, ensuring good financial health, accuracy, compliance, and alignment with business objectives. It involves strategic financial planning, advising senior management on financial decisions by providing financial insights and recommendations, managing financial risk, and driving financial efficiency and profitability. Other than managing a group of financial professionals in the department, the role is also required to lead and implement robust financial controls and processes to support business needs.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide strategic business plan recommendations based on analysis of company conditions and financial forecasts.

Job Requirements

• At least a bachelor’s degree in trading, economics, finance, accounting or relevant fields.
• At least 13 years working experience in finance and accounting related roles, of which at least 8 years have been in finance leadership positions.
• Preferably to have or have had extensive experience in Commodity and/or Energy Trading companies.
• Has excellent interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills. This includes being able to develop commendable working relationships with different stakeholders of all levels both internally and externally of the Company.

Job scope:

• Review balance sheet schedules and bank reconciliations.
• Manage fixed asset capitalization and disposals in line with company policy.
