We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager with expertise in the construction industry to oversee our financial operations and ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, financial analysis, and management, coupled with a deep understanding of construction accounting practices.
Responsibilities:
• Manage all aspects of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
• Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Implement and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
• Coordinate and manage the month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and financial audits.
• Analyze financial data and provide strategic recommendations to senior management for improving profitability, cost efficiency, and cash flow.
• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to track project costs, budgets, and revenue recognition in accordance with industry standards.
• Monitor and analyze construction contracts, change orders, and subcontractor agreements to ensure accurate billing, revenue recognition, and cost allocation.
• Manage relationships with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory agencies to facilitate audits, filings, and compliance requirements.
• Mentor, train, and supervise accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning, development, and accountability.
• Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices in construction accounting, and proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization.
