• Setup of Key Performance Indicators (KPI), scenario assessment and performance ratios
• Manage financial budget, forecast cycles and cost management support
• Ensure all MIS reports for the branch are prepared and submitted to HO and regulatory bodies in a timely and accurate manner
• Acts as the functional specialist and provide financial advisory to business units for any new products launched
• Establish accounting policies in compliance with local and HO regulations
• Monitor the financial performance of the branch and provide explanation for month-on-month variances as well as variance against Plan.

Requirements:

• At least 6 years of relevant finance and accounting experience in a bank and if working in a major accounting firm, have audited major banks as clients
• Sound understanding of banking accounting & reporting requirements and business analysis techniques
• Good interpersonal/communication skills and able to multi-task and meet tight timeline
• High degree of integrity and ability to challenge the views of others in a constructive manner
• Mature, proactive, meticulous and tenacious, flair for numbers and hands-on

The Accounts Officer – Accounts Payable & Revenue Audit’s core responsibilities to support Accounts Executive in auditing day to day operations transactions, processing and timely payment of all hotel payments.

What will I be doing?

As the Accounts Officer – Accounts Payable & Revenue Audit, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Account for and audit all purchase orders, receive records and suppliers’ invoices (purchase invoices matching procedure).
• Ensure all invoices have proper supporting documents and authorization before processing payment.
• Prepare vouchers, including cost distributions and account codes for all suppliers’ invoices and credit memos.
• Balance suppliers’ monthly statements to the hotel’s accounts payable record.
• Answer suppliers’ and other parties’ queries relating to accounts payable.
• Ensure that Daily and Monthly Revenue and Settlement Reconciliation is prepared on a timely basis and all revenue is captured and reported.
• Review all entertainment dockets and officers’ checks, ensuring that all are authorized and signed with the appropriate level of detail.
• Verify transactions posted in the daily report, including but not limited to credit cards, city ledger, crew allowances, paid outs, allowances and rebates, miscellaneous charges, voiding, car park revenues, and room safe keys.
• Prepare rebate and allowance summary and rebate journal.
• Handle all requests and inquiries in a timely and efficient manner.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned by Accounts Executive.

Your Key Responsibilities:

In your role as a FAAS Professional, you will provide finance transformation consultancy and accounting and finance advisory services encompassing:

Finance Applications, Processes and Analytics

• Support on enhancing and testing accounting processes and controls, including SOX controls
• Internal controls remediation
• Participate in finance business process reviews to identify areas of improvement in clients’ finance applications and processes
• Develop, configure, and test developed third party finance applications for clients
• Conduct data analysis and provide recommendations to improve finance processes and systems
• Assist with project management activities for large scale finance transformation projects

Enhanced Corporate Reporting and Accounting

• Provide accounting support/assistance for areas such as: Adoption of new standards, restructuring of entities, development of accounting and reporting policies, GAAP conversions

Transaction accounting, IPO and Capital Markets

• Accounting support/ assistance for due diligence transactions, such as preparation of carve out financial statements
• Post-acquisition support such as Day 1 & Day 2 transaction support, consistency in accounting policies
• IPO readiness such as preparation of pro-forma financial statements, process and control gap assessment

Skills and Attributes for Success:

• Pursuing a Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• Enthusiasm in drawing insights and trends from financial data, combining data analytics with accounting and financial reporting skills.
