Requirement

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field with at least 8 years’ experience in internal auditing and including at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation is preferred.
• Other relevant certifications such as CPA, CISA, or CFE are advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks, risk management principles, and auditing standards.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical standards.
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Strong knowledge of internal audit standards, principles, and practices.
• Proficiency in risk assessment and risk management techniques.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Description

• Develop and implement the annual internal audit plan using an appropriate risk-based methodology in line with the organization's risk profile and strategic goals.
• Lead and manage internal audit activities, including planning, fieldwork, and reporting.
• Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and governance processes.
• Monitor and report on the effectiveness of the risk management framework and develop risk mitigation strategies.
• Identify areas of improvement and provide recommendations to management to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Prepare and present detailed audit reports, including audit findings, recommendations and management responses.
• Follow up on audit recommendations to ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders, including the board of directors and external auditors.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and external auditors as needed.
• Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in internal auditing.

Job Description:

For Clients

· Manage full sets of accounts for clients

· Provide professional client service, ensuring timely reporting

· Maintain and update client database

· Prepare full sets of accounts for several entities (Client)

For Internal office

· Prepare reconciliation of accounts, management and cash flow reports

· Handle bookkeeping and management accounts

· Prepare payments via internet banking

· Verification of supplier invoices and issue payments

· Issue sales invoices and follow up on customer payments

· Ensure timely and accurate submission of GST, annual tax returns and other statutory filings

· Handling other administrative tasks such as procurement of office supplies, handling courier, postage and banking duties etc

Job requirements:

· Degree or Diploma or equivalent professional qualification in Accounting / ACCA or equivalent

· Good working knowledge of accounting standards and GST regulations;

· Possess a keen eye for details and strong analytical skills;

· Able to hands-on and deadline oriented

· Able to work independently and as a team;

· Experienced in Malaysia Accounting

· Trained in Xero System

· Bilingual – English and Chinese (In order to communicate with Chinese speaking customers inquiries over the phone or email.)

· Immediate or short notice candidates are preferred

· Minimum 3 years accounting working experiences

• Maintain financial transaction records by establishing accounts, posting transactions, and ensuring legal compliance.
• Develop a chart of accounts that defines bookkeeping policies and procedures.
• Maintain subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
• Prepare financial statements, such as ledgers, income statements, and balance sheets.
• Utilize the appropriate accounting software to manage and automate financial tasks when relevant.
• Assist with creating budgets, financial forecasts, and quarterly reports.
• Collect, analyze, and summarize data for tax forms according to local and federal mandates.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
