1. Manage the full spectrum of General Ledger.

2. Maintains a master list of monthly journal entries.

3. Advise other sections’ month end journal entries as and when required.

4. Handles intercompany transactions in SAP.

5. Review open PO list and accrue when necessary for month-end closing.

6. Involves in expenses variance analysis during month-end closing and year-end closing.

7. Prepares financial statements and disseminate monthly departmental P&L and related details.

8. Prepares monthly bank reconciliation.

9. Prepare, compile and review balance sheet schedules.

10. Assists in computation of quarterly GST Input Tax Returns.

11. Review reconciliation of suppliers’ statement prepared by Accounts Payable.

12. Monitors cash flow and prepare cash flow forecast.

13. Oversees the preparation of account reconciliations, verify receipts and payment details with transaction documents review and validate accounting entries.

14. Liaise with and handle external auditor during financial audit.

15. Assist in yearly financial budget.

16. Responsible for the full spectrum of fixed asset management.

17. Maintains the fixed asset register, additions & disposal schedules.

18. Ensures all fixed asset invoices are posted into accounting system with the appropriate account / asset number assigned / detailed asset descriptions on a timely basis.

19. Responsible in maintaining fixed asset records and performing of depreciation run in the SAP accounting system.

20. Perform depreciation reasonableness test before month-end closing to ensure accurate accounting of depreciation.

21. Maintain and tag fixed asset purchased.

22. Verifies and audit fixed asset disposed.

23. Assist to prepare year end audit schedule for fixed asset and asset reports for tax filing purpose.

24. Stand-in for Accounts Payable as and when required.

25. Involves in expenses variance analysis during month-end closing and year-end closing.

Education & Work Experience

1. Diploma in Accountancy or similar qualifications

2. Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience, preferably in a hotel environment.

3. Possesses good analytical and interpersonal skills

4. Proficient in accounting principles with working knowledge in a computerized accounting environment, especially SAP is preferred. Good knowledge in MS Excel is an advantage.

5. Proactive, meticulous and independent individual.

Job Description & Requirements

• Perform daily Accounting & Finance duties including receivables and payable process.
• Consolidate accounts and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Assist in group consolidation reports.
• Support Audit and Tax queries
• Manage timely closing process and reconciliations including for intercompany transactions.
• In charge of GST Filling
• Any other duties & responsibilities assigned by superior.

Key Attributes:

• Diploma in Accounting & Finance or equivalent
• At least 2-3 years of experience in Accounting & Finance
• Strong understanding of accounting principles
• Ability to work in a fast paced and independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
• Hands on experience with MYOB Software

• Oversee daily transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger and bank reconciliations
• Participate in regular tax audits and payroll
• Prepare budgeting reports and forecast revenues
• Manage month-end and year-end closing
• Monitor the daily performance of the accounting department
• Organize financial data into useable information and maintain updated records
• Track the progress of financial and accounting objectives
• Establish accounting policies and procedures, aligned with company’s targets
• Ensure compliance with the law
• Strong computer skills, MS Excel in particular (managing spreadsheets, creating charts and using advanced formulas)
