Job Scope:

Working in the Memorial Facilities and Planning Division within the Public Health Services and Capabilities Group, you will assist the section to provide after-death care services at government cemetery. The workman may be assigned to assist in either the traditional soil burial or the Crypt Burial System burials.

1. Soil Burial

• Manual digging of burial plot when necessary
• Prepare grave plot for burial
• Backfill burial plot after burial

2. Crypt Burial System Burial

• Assist in opening of burial crypt covers
• Signal and direct the lifting machine operator during the lifting operation
• Prepare grave plot for burial
• Backfill burial plot after burial

Job Requirements:

• Fully vaccinated (more than 14 days after completing vaccination regimen of 2 doses and booster shot)
• Completed primary education level (i.e. Primary 6)
• Able to handle digging tools
• Able to speak and understand simple English
• Willing to work in after-death care service environment
• Able and willing to work on weekends and public holidays
• Able to work independently as well as in teams

Salary: $10 - $11/hour
