Job Responsibilities

Supervision and Team Management:

• Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department.
• Provide guidance, support, and supervision to accounting staff.
• Leading and motivating the accounting team in order to achieve the set OKR and KPI
• Ensure that team members adhere to accounting principles and company policies.
• Prepare financial forecast for inter-companies billing.
• Work with department heads to align financial goals across the company

Financial Reporting:

• Maintain Full set of accounting records for multiple companies.
• Prepare staff allocation report.
• Work closely with external counterparties for completion of monthly/yearly closing.
• Provide reliable data for cash flow projections.
• Prepare and review quarterly GST reporting.
• Prepare monthly accounting schedule.
• Prepare and review group of month-end closing report to managements.
• Oversee the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and standards.
• Ensure timely completion of monthly accounts of companies directly under your responsibility and other group of companies handled by accounting staff.

General Ledger Management:

• Oversee general ledger activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
• Reviewing financial statements for accuracy and make adjustments when needed.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to protect company assets.

Compliance and Regulations:

• Stay updated on accounting regulations and ensure the company stays compliant..
• Ensure compliance with local government requirements and timely reporting to relevant regulatory bodies.
• Coordinate with auditors and external consultant on compliance matters.

Process Improvement:

• Identify areas for improvement and increase efficiency in accounting processes.
• Implement best practices to streamline accounting procedures.
• Participate in system upgrades or implementations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by immediate superior.

Job Requirement

• Diploma or Accounting qualifications.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in accounting job, ability to maintain full set of accounts will be an advantage.
• Proficient in MS Excel and common accounting software.

About the role:

Accounts Executive, Payroll

Reporting to the Accountant, we are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Accounts Executive, Payroll to manage the hotel’s payroll system, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of wages in compliance with applicable tax laws and Four Seasons Hotel Singapore policies. This role requires knowledge of any Payroll software, strong technical expertise in payroll processes and accounting principles.

What you will do:

• Accurately input and process payroll data for the preparation of cheques.
• Review employee status changes and ensure correct data entry into the payroll system.
• Reconcile discrepancies in pay cheques with Department Heads or individual employees.
• Assist with the reconciliation of Banquet and F&B outlet tips and service charges.
• Conduct annual payroll audits for each department and resolve any discrepancies.
• Maintain and file all bi-weekly payroll documentation.
• Support month-end processes, including payroll journals and accruals.
• Ensure payroll taxes are accurately collected, remitted, and filed in a timely manner.
• Ensure labour law compliance regarding overtime, job classifications, and service charges.
• Prepare labour and productivity reports for discussion with Department Heads and the Assistant Director of Finance.
• Assist with special audits such as Workers' Compensation and Labour Compliance.

What you bring:

• Diploma in Accountancy or its equivalent.
• 1-2 years of experience in payroll or accounting, ideally within the hospitality industry.
• Proficiency in payroll systems, with experience in TIMES Payroll being an advantage.
• Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and payroll-related financial reporting. Knowledge of relevant labour laws and regulations regarding payroll, payroll taxes and employee compensation.
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Ability to process large volumes of data with a high degree of accuracy.
• High level of professional integrity and ethical standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare reports and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain harmonious relationships with colleagues and supervisors.
• Confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive payroll information.
• Ability to work in an organised, safe, and efficient manner under pressure.
• Proactive in problem-solving and continuously seeking to improve processes and outcomes.

Schedule & Hours:

This position requires the incumbent to work from Mondays to Fridays, 8.30 am to 6.00 pm.

Key roles and responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day functioning of the office and maintain the smooth running of the administrative processes.

Our client, a leading manufacturer, is looking for suitable talents to join their growing business as Accounts Executive.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform daily AP duties, verifying invoices and monitoring payment schedules to ensure timely and accurate payments to suppliers, avoiding late payment penalties.
• Liaise with salesmen to arrange advance payments.
• Have basic knowledge of analyzing profit and loss and balance sheet reports for credit limit reviews.
• Assist in preparing payments for staff claims.
• Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment status, discrepancies, disputes, and other concerns.
• Assist in preparing commission reports, accounts payable reports, including aging reports, payment forecasts, and analysis of trade payables.
• Work closely with the sales and accounts team to ensure timely payments.
• Ensure compliance with internal financial policies, tax regulations, and external audit requirements.
• Maintain accurate documentation for all AP transactions to meet audit and internal control requirements.
• Perform other ad-hoc tasks as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• Diploma / Bachelor Degree in Accounting
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Account Payable
• Familiarity with SAP, GST and Tax knowledge
