Role Overview: As a Security Agency Accounts Specialist, you will play a vital role in managing the financial operations of our agency. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure accurate bookkeeping, financial reporting, and compliance with accounting principles and regulations. You will work closely with other stakeholders to maintain financial transparency, make informed business decisions, and support the overall growth and success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Prepare, process payroll (weekly/monthly/daily/OT bi-monthly).
- Prepare, check, and process OT payments bi-monthly, including managing timesheets and payment methods.
- Conduct weekly and monthly advance preparation of payroll, verifying attendance records and transferring funds to the bank.
- Conduct periodic financial analyses and reconciliations to identify discrepancies and ensure data integrity.
- Manage payroll processing, tax filings, and other related tasks in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and monitor budgets, track expenses, and provide financial insights for decision-making.
- Assist with the annual audit process and liaise with auditors to ensure a smooth and successful audit.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraudulent activities.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations to ensure compliance and recommend process improvements.
- Support financial planning and forecasting activities to drive business growth and profitability.
- Provide guidance and support to other departments regarding accounting-related matters.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or relevant certification preferred).
- Proven experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in the security industry or a related field.
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and relevant regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel (experience with QuickBooks is a plus).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities to meet deadlines effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with integrity.
