Category Management

• Analyze market and consumption trends, the competitive landscape, supply-chain movements and processor/production volumes to identify opportunities and threats within the category.
• Maintain understanding of the price drivers affecting pricing per product SKU into Singapore and its impact on buy/hold/clear position that the company needs to take.
• Develop and implement category strategies to achieve business objectives and goals that support market and sales team opportunities for growth
• Work closely with the sales and business development teams curate a product assortment within the category, considering factors like product supply continuity, quality, pricing, and consumer demand.
• Identify new products/suppliers that fulfil range gaps whether due to changing supplier circumstances or new growth opportunities.
• Monitor and manage the performance of products to continually identify poor performing lines for delisting and identify new product opportunities that will enhance the product range offer.
• Ensure that all products meet relevant importation regulations and food safety standards.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Develop and formulate beverage prototype based on projects, industrial standards and country-specific requirements.
• Handle and lead beverage application projects such coffee, tea, dairy, plant-based, carbonated soft drinks, fruit juices, energy drinks, flavored water and alcoholic beverages.
• Handle lab process equipment including UHT, aseptic filler, homogenizer, carbonator, hot water bath, autoclave and high shear mixer.
• Good understanding of product heat treatment for different beverage categories to ensure product safety.
• Select and evaluate the right flavor solution in compliance with applications requirements.
• Strong sensory skills to evaluate and select appropriate flavors.
• Understand the commercial needs for the category/market and be the technical contact/support for the key category customers/markets.
• Design, prepare and conduct shelf life testing for beverages.
• Manage raw materials, laboratory supplies and housekeeping.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
• Maintain effective communication with team members and clients.

The Production Manager oversees all operations of the food production plant, ensuring work processes are simplified, costs are reduced, and production processes run efficiently. He/She sets key performance indicators (KPI), and develops new food production standards and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

He/She monitors quality assurance, investigates production or quality issues and recommends solutions. He/She must undergo training in internal food safety audits and serves on the organisation's food safety internal audit committee.

He/She works in a food production environment and may be required to work in shifts. He/She is exposed to physically demanding work conditions such as long standing hours and hot or cold temperatures.

• Arrange plant visits and physical inspections by external auditors.
• Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and prepare reports and work instructions.
• Draft capacity plans to evaluate sustainability of new or modified manufacturing processes.
• Establish food production strategies for sustainability.
• Establish production documentations and maintenance.
