Our Client is in the Heavy Vehicle Industry. Due to their current expansion plan, they are looking for a Senior Accounts Payable to join their team, in hopes of developing the current high performing team. They are located in the East.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Accounts Payable function, including GST reporting and compliance.
• Monitor creditors’ aging, perform vendor account reconciliations, and ensure timely payments to creditors.
• Manage month-end closing activities, including journal preparation and review, general ledger reconciliations (e.g., bank reconciliations), and monthly fluctuation analysis.
• Ensure the efficient operation of the Accounts Payable process, ensuring timely recognition of liabilities.
• Ensure accurate and timely filing of GST returns in compliance with relevant rules and regulations.
• Review and approve debit note requests.
• Coordinate internal and external audits to ensure timely resolution of issues and successful completion.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and participate in ERP system upgrades or enhancements.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and lead improvement projects.
• Perform any additional duties or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• Min Diploma in Accounting
• Min 4 - 5 yrs experience managing Accounts Payable Functions
• Experience in ERP systems, such as SAP or Microsoft Dynamics will be advantageous
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong knowledge of GST.

Job Scope:

Responsibilities

The Accounts Payable function for Acclaim Insurance Broker will include:

· Timely payment process to suppliers and compliance with company policies.

· Perform reconciliation to supplier’s Statement of Account to ensure accuracy.

· Update payment vouchers in accounting system and document management system.

· Handle suppliers’ inquiries regarding to payments, invoices and statement discrepancies, and other

issues.

· Conduct bank reconciliation and prepare adjustment journals for suppliers.

· Handle payments to insurer for reinsurance.

· Prepare payment for non-trade related suppliers and receipt for non-trade related incoming funds.

. Assist in month-end closing by ensuring that all expenses are accurately recorded and reconciled.

· Any other ad-hoc duties prescribed by supervison.

Requirements

· Minimum Diploma in Accounting related fields

· Min 2 years of accounts experience (preferably)

· Work independently with minimal supervision.
