About the Role

As Category Manager for Infrastructure and Cloud, you will be part of the TPC ISIT Sourcing team and will report to the Director, Head of Category. You will work closely with both corporate in Telenor and all Business Units. Further, you will be working closely with the Head of Category in contributing to the end-to-end Category management and strategy development, including sourcing execution, contract negotiation and supplier management processes. Your role is pivotal in identifying and realizing cost saving initiatives that deliver real business value in the category across all of Telenor’s Business Units.

Infrastructure and Cloud is a global, centralized category management function. The team manages a common global sourcing function for data centre, office IT and public cloud services for the Telenor Group. This includes physical assets such as servers, networking, laptops and storage systems, as well as public cloud services. The team runs a wide array of global initiatives including cost optimization, quality improvement, planning, strategy development and large company-to-company negotiations. Main tasks include

• Analyze and steer critical KPIs: sales, quantity, market share, profitability, NSP, product mix as well as availability and stock-turn/ obsolescence
• Act as the main interface to trade management and relevant Business Units in Schaan
• Organize of A2 regional Experience Exchange workshops
• Create a proactive approach to communicate product value e.g. internal & external PR and ensure consistent and clear communication of our brand promise “Outperform. Outlast.” in line with global and local brand strategy.

Qualification:

• University degree required in engineering, marketing or business administration
• Master’s degree or MBA desired, with professional experience in management consulting, sales or marketing
• Superior understanding of product marketing with the ability to contribute to the overall Hilti strategy and priorities of the corporation
• Experience in Construction / Engineering Industry will be advantageous
• Strong commercial acumen and marketing skills, e.g. market research, competitor sensing, product lifecycle, communications, merchandising, promotions, product launches and analysis
• Strong communication and presentation skills across all levels and function, providing information and feedback to the wider business
• Willing to travel approximately 40% nationally and internationally
• For future career progression, be willing to relocate internationally with previous international experience
