We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Accountant to join our team in Singapore. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in cost analysis, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and accounting principles. As a Cost Accountant, you will be responsible for managing cost control, variance analysis, financial modeling, and providing valuable insights for effective decision-making.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

• Ensure timely, accurate month-end and year end closing for AP / AR.

• Coordinate and liaise with internal parties to support intercompany activities.

• Monitor cash flow and bank accounts.

• Maintain Petty Cash and Fixed Asset Register

• Involve in Auditing.

Job Description

• Check invoices, match PO with invoices and verify discrepancies.
• Prepare and maintain monthly bank reconciliation & cash flows
• Prepare monthly vendor payments, account vendor invoices and staff claims, etc.
• Assist in quarterly GST reporting
• Assist in monthly, quarterly and year end closing
• Assist in audit reporting
• Perform other adhoc duties as assigned

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in accountancy or equivalent
• Entry level candidates with no working experience are welcome to apply
• Knowledge on project accounting or experience with Sage Accpac accounting software will be an advantage
• Proficiency in MS office

Job Descriptions:

• Handle full sets of accounts GL, AR, AP, GST F5 submission, tax computation/filing, and yearly statutory financial reporting
• Perform monthly closing and bank reconciliation
• Prepare payments to suppliers weekly and ad-hoc basis
• Prepare monthly closing reports, schedules, and variance analyses as well as yearly financial statements
• Ensure compliance with financial authority limits, financial reporting standards (FRS), company policies, and other regulations
• Monitor working capital and update of fixed assets register
• Responsible for quarterly stock take and half-yearly fixed assets sighting
• Liaise with auditor for yearly statutory audit and periodic internal audit
• Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Prefer degree in Accounting or ACCA or equivalent professional qualification;
• At least 1 year of audit experience
• Must have good knowledge of SFRS and accounting entries
• Preferably have knowledge of the Xero accounting system
• Possess a good working attitude and a strong sense of responsibility
• Strong analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills

• Handle partial sets of accounts, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Ensure timely recording of creditor invoices and payment transactions and follow up with billings and cheque collections.
• Input daily and monthly sales reports.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of records.
• Retrieve and resend invoices, credit notes, and statements of accounts.
• Participate in cash flow calculations and preparation.
• Coordinate and liaise with external parties such as vendors, auditors, and tax agents.
• Perform weekly and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Provide administrative support as required.
