Job Description

The Department of History at the National University of Singapore invites applications for a tenure-track position, beginning in August 2025, at the rank of Assistant Professor.

The successful candidate will have a completed PhD degree in History, and have a strong research agenda rooted in World History, with no preference for regions. Candidates should have an international profile commensurate with their rank and stage of career. The Department is particularly interested in applicants with research interests and accomplishments in one or more of the following subfields: gender; science, technology, and society; environment; the ancient world; and international relations. A demonstrated ability to contribute effectively to teaching Introduction to World History as well as more specialized courses for broad undergraduate audiences in the College of the Humanities and Sciences and the Department’s M.A. students. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized Warehouse Assistant cum Delivery Driver to support our charity efforts. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate tracking and management of inventory in our warehouse.

Responsibilities:

· Maintain accurate inventory records of all provisions received, stored, and distributed

· Assist with the receiving, sorting, and storage of all provisions received in our warehouse

· Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies as needed

· Prepare provision for weekly distribution and ensure accuracy and completeness

· Load and unload delivery vehicles safely and with care

. Safely transport goods to specified locations

. Load and unload goods frmo the vehicle at delivery and pickup points

. Assist with any ad hoc tasks related to warehouse or transportation as assigned by supervisor

Requirements:

· Class 3 or 4 driving license with a clean driving record

· Able to drive 14ft lorry

· Able to operate reach truck

· Process Forklift licence is an advantage

· Prior experience working in a warehouse or delivery role preferred

· Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and perform physical tasks as needed

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management

.Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends during community events or campaigns

Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Project Director, he/she is responsible for the successful completion of a project, specialising only in lighting deliverables.
• Ensure all paperwork and material submissions are verified, well presented and submitted timely.
• Strong co-ordination and good people management skills, being able to communicate effectively verbally and written, with all relevant stake holders such as consultants, architects, designers, electrical contractors, end-users, relevant authorities and suppliers.
• Overall management of the project with respect to contractual obligations, budgets, and internal resources to ensure project is successfully completed.
• Lead project team on the implementation and execution of works necessary to complete the project.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronic, or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years’ relevant work experience in lighting/electrical engineering.
• Experience in lighting industry is advantageous.
• Knowledge in Autocad, Dialux, Relux software is advantageous.

Responsibilities:

• Formulate and execute strategic procurement and contract management support for all directly invested projects.
• Manage and oversee a team of Quantity Surveyors in tender preparation, submission, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Review cost assumptions for new projects.
• Support Risk Management by screening and strengthening contracts, procurement practices, and SOPs for joint-venture projects.
• Attach to project companies for short durations to provide procurement and contracts management support.
• Review project Procurement and Contracts Management Policies and Processes for compliance with Group policies.
• Oversee and resolve delayed and disputed costs, including variation claims.
• Develop and implement strategies for managing Extension of Time (EOT) claims, providing comprehensive support throughout the process.
• Provide assistance and guidance to other departments on procurement activities, ensuring compliance with the Group’s procurement policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Degree in Building, Quantity Surveying, or a related field, with a minimum of 7 years' experience in a similar capacity.
• Relevant experience in preparing Tenders for Building, Civil & Infrastructure, and interior design works across infrastructure, industrial, residential, and commercial projects.
• Familiarity with Contracts, Law, and local legal requirements, with strong contractual and pricing knowledge in Vietnam, Indonesia, and China being an advantage.
• Professional qualifications from recognized Quantity Surveying bodies (e.g., SISV, RICS, MRICS) are preferred.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• Open to candidates from Developer, Consultancy, or Contractor backgrounds.
• Regional exposure is a plus.
