The successful candidate will have a completed PhD degree in History, and have a strong research agenda rooted in World History, with no preference for regions. Candidates should have an international profile commensurate with their rank and stage of career. The Department is particularly interested in applicants with research interests and accomplishments in one or more of the following subfields: gender; science, technology, and society; environment; the ancient world; and international relations. A demonstrated ability to contribute effectively to teaching Introduction to World History as well as more specialized courses for broad undergraduate audiences in the College of the Humanities and Sciences and the Department’s M.A. students. • To assist the appointed Project Manager in managing the project inclusive of cost planning, consultant and contractor procurement, design management, construction management until project completion and handover.
• On-site coordination of activities of the appointed project consultants in alignment with the project schedule and budget.
• Engage with project stakeholders (internal to the client) and external (e.g., industrial estates, authorities, and providers) in connection with the project.
• Manage and oversight all project procurement and coordination activities including, but not limited to the procurement of early works and main contractors, critical equipment and other specialist suppliers.
• Aiding appointed Project Manager in administering appointed contracts and undertake all necessary interfacing and reporting with the contractors during the post-contract phase.
• Ensure compliance to the T&T Commission Execution Plan (“CEP”) online system, risk management and business management system frameworks.
• To maintain effective project governance, processes and systems to be utilised throughout project.
• To manage the implementation of the master programme, manpower, materials & plant schedules.
• Responsible for the project planning, including producing the detailed project plan.
• To lead and facilitate the overall cross-functional project team.
• To prepare master programme, formal project progress and other reports.
• To take a leading role in interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages.
• Control and properly compile all relevant documents for the project including uploading to T&T sharepoint.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the preparation and submission of Tenders
• Reviews tender requirements and generate tender schedule and deliverables checklist
• Organise kick off meeting with the tender team and drive tender progress
• Initiate and coordinate insurance review, due diligence check and compliance, risk assessment
• Leads estimating team members to obtain quotations that are in compliance with tender scope of work and requirement, drafting of proposals, compiling deliverables Obtain and finalises key subcontractors' quotations and lead the negotiation for contractual and commercial items
• Prepare overall cost summary and price tabulation as per tender requirement and specification
• Attend tender clarification meeting with customers, partners and key subcontractors
• Review contractual, commercial qualification, tender deliverables with the team and finalize for submission.
• Prepare investment and board paper
• Prepare project budget on the awarded contract

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in any engineering disciplines, preferably EIT
• Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in a contract management role, contract administration role, purchasing or contracting
• Highly detail-oriented to spot inconsistencies in contracts
• Possess superior ability in negotiating terms and drafting contracts, strong negotiation and mediation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Must have excellent analytical thinking skills and problem solving abilities
• Candidates with prior experience working in Offshore, Engineering or Construction areas is highly valued

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and manage large volume of shipping documentations (Invoice, Packing List, Delivery Orders and Airway Bill) by stipulated daily schedules to facilitate outbound shipment delivery to customers
• Ensure all shipping documents are accurate, complete and comply with industry regulations and Company standards
• Coordinate import shipment documentations with forwarders for timely transportation to Warehouse
• Act as the main point of contact with regards to any shipping enquiries and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth flow of daily operations

• Average of 300 shipments in a day.
• 100% work in Warehouse which is air-conditioned environment
• 2 cut offs in a day (local shipments to be completed by 10am and export shipments by 12pm)
