Position Overview:

The Administrative Manager is responsible for overseeing the administrative operations of the organization, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning. This role involves managing administrative staff, developing and implementing policies, and coordinating various office activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership and Management:Supervise and manage administrative staff, providing guidance and support.
  Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff.
  Recruit, train, and onboard new administrative employees.
  
• Office Management:Oversee daily office operations and procedures.
  Develop, implement, and update administrative policies and procedures.
  Ensure office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems, layouts, and equipment procurement.
  
• Budgeting and Financial Management:Prepare and manage the administrative budget.
  Monitor office expenses and manage vendor relationships.
  Negotiate and manage contracts for office supplies and services.
  
• Communication and Coordination:Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
  Facilitate communication between departments and provide administrative support as needed.
  Coordinate and schedule meetings, conferences, and events.
  
• Facility Management:Ensure the office environment is well-maintained and safe.
  Oversee maintenance and repair of office equipment and facilities.
  Manage office space allocation and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  
• Document Management:Oversee the management and organization of company records and documents.
  Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
  Develop and maintain filing systems for easy retrieval of information.
  
• Project Management:Plan and coordinate administrative projects.
  Track project progress and ensure timely completion.
  Collaborate with other departments on cross-functional projects.
  
• Performance Improvement:Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes.
  Conduct regular reviews of administrative systems and procedures.
  Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in office administration.

Job Description

• Set up and operate wind tunnel equipment
• Conduct wind tunnel experiments on urban airflow modelling
• Conduct computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations on urban airflow modelling
• Analyze experimental and simulation data and summarize key findings and observations
• Collaborate with other team members to design experiments, develop simulation methodologies, and interpret results
• Assist in the preparation of research proposals, technical reports, and scientific publications
• Assist in other relevant activities in the research project such as supervision of undergraduate students and management of project administration.

Job Requirements

• A Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical/Aerospace/Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Proficiency in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations software
• Strong passion in research and can conduct research semi-independently
• Fluent in English and able to present research to both researchers and the general public
• Experience in conducting wind tunnel/water tunnel experiments is a plus
• Experience in programming and AI/machine learning is a plus
• Candidates with good publication record will be prioritized
• Candidates who plan to pursue a PhD degree will be prioritized

• Position: Assistant Mechanical Engineer (Industrial/Automation) - Up to $5000 - Woodlands

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for assembly, debug and test run of customized modular machines and it’s commissioning.
• Provide on-site technical support at customer premise for equipment operation.
• Perform design modifications through: Simplified design, reduced parts, using cheaper alternatives, while maintaining or enhancing the performance of products in terms of cost reduction.
• Procure and/or assist in the procurement of necessary items to enable the performance of above duties.
• Writing and maintenance of all necessary documentations, work and assembly instructions, manufacturing and test procedures.

Requirements:

• Nitec / Higher Nitec / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 2 to 3 years’ relevant experience.
• Knowledge of industrial automation, jigs and fixture design, FMEA, SPC, CAD as well as experience in machine design are added advantages
• Self-Disciplined with strong project management skills
• Required to travel when necessary
• Bilingual in English & Mandarin to communicate with associates who can only speak Mandarin

This position will be suitable for those who are interested in exploring the education sector. You will assist the Outreach Department to facilitate and develop plans for active outreach to the math and science talent in primary schools.

Key Responsibilities:

Science Outreach

· Work with our Outreach Educators to design programmes consisting of workshops, online modules and other activities particularly in the area of Physics and Engineering and other sciencesthat will engage Primary 5 and 6 math and science talent from our primary school partners.

· Initiate and mentor simple and short research projects with primary school students.

· Carry out the programmes planned together with NUS High student helpers, and be able to adapt activities to students with a wide range of abilities.

· Mentor the primary school students in our outreach programmes so as to nurture their passion in math and science.

Collaboration with Student Interest Groups (SIG)

· Provide guidance for student helpers from our SIGs to support the outreach activities as facilitators and student mentors.

· Provide support to SIG Teachers for their activities.

Miscellaneous Teaching and Learning Activities

· Provide support to academic departments for simple relief tasks.

Requirements:

· Possess GCE “A” level (Science Stream) or Diploma in Science/Engineering
