Site managers are responsible for ensuring that a construction project is completed on time and within budget. Alternative job titles for site managers include construction manager, project manager and site agent.

Site managers work on construction sites and work often begins just before construction. More senior construction managers will take responsibility for an entire project and may be known as the project manager or project director. More junior site managers may take responsibility for only a part of a project (also known as a package).

Key tasks include:

• supervising and overseeing the direction of the project (or a package), ensuring that the client’s specifications and requirements are met, reviewing progress and liaising with quantity surveyors to monitor costs
• liaising with the client, other construction professionals and, sometimes, members of the public
• coordinating and supervising construction workers
• selecting tools and materials
• making safety inspections and ensuring construction and site safety
• checking and preparing site reports, designs and drawings
• maintaining quality control procedures

As construction managers work on site wherever that site is, be prepared to relocate or face a longer commute as and when required.

Job Responsibilities

- Work closely with the management and business unit heads to meet the business' HR needs.

- Ensuring employees follow all policies and procedures

- Assessing reports provided by the HR team, team leaders and operations managers to determine employee performance and training needs

- Suggesting changes in policies and procedures based on employee and company needs

Requirements

- Min 5 years of relevant experience with 2 years in managerial role,

- Strong computer skills and experience with office management and communication software

- Excellent leadership, training and developmental skills

- Strong decision-making skills

- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

- Expert in Employment Act in Singapore including all labour laws set by governing authorities and organizations

- Time management and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

• Report to PM and assist in monitoring project activities, including work progress, quality, and manpower.
• Coordinate with the stakeholders to ensure all work activities are integrated into the overall project timeline.
• Ensure work is implemented in accordance with approved drawings, contract specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure all work activities are conducted safely, following site safety protocols and regulations.
• Identify and address any issues or defects promptly to prevent future water infiltration problems.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of waterproofing systems used and identify areas for improvement.
• Prepare progress reports and attend all required meetings or briefings with senior management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Building Construction or Civil Engineering.
• At least 5 years of working experience in a similar capacity within the construction industry.
• Ability to manage multiple contracts and projects simultaneously.
• Good understanding of construction drawings, sequencing of works, and safe methodologies.
• Knowledge of the waterproofing trade is an added advantage.
• Meticulous with excellent negotiation and communication skills.
