Research Assistant/Associate Policy Analyst – Population Health

The Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health (SSHSPH) at the National University of Singapore (NUS) is recruiting a Research Assistant/Associate Policy Analyst. The rapid population ageing in Singapore calls for innovative solutions. We aim to assess the impact of health promotion programmes (e.g. urban care farming, cognition training, etc) on the health and health-related behaviours of participants. This project will involve recruitment, assessment, and analysis of the research data. The candidate will also be working on models in policy evaluation. This is a full-time position based in Singapore.

Duties may include but are not limited to: (1) provide programming support to a research project (2) assist with recruitment and data analyses; (3) manage large complex databases; (4) conduct literature reviews (5) contribute to the development of scientific papers and the dissemination of the study findings.

The appointed candidate should: (1) Hold at least a bachelor degree (2) be proficient in Stata or R and (3) have experience in statistics, mathematics, econometrics, computer science, quantitative social science, public health, epidemiology or related field. We are starting the decommissioning of our Kondor Plus trading platform for our Treasury business to transfer this activity to our main front office target platform (Orchestrade or OT). Orchestrade is already implemented for a large list of assets and business lines.

• Monitor Group cash flow requirements and bank accounts
• Manage the tax compliance and develop internal controls, policies and procedures.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and filing of all necessary financial records.
• Take charge and handle administrative matters.
• Ad hoc duties/projects as and when required.

Requirement:
• Bachelor of Accounting / ACCA
• At least 3 years relevant experience in accounting and financial reporting
• Good understanding of local accounting standards and tax regulations
• Consolidation experience preferred
• Proficient with MS Office application and use of accounting software
• Good sense of responsibility and attentive to details
• Work under stress and tight deadlines
• Ability to work independently and in a team and in a fast-paced environment.

• Explore and implement generative AI technologies to enhance digital wealth management offerings.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI and recommend relevant innovations.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to align technology initiatives with business goals and objectives.
• Work closely with IT, data science, and product teams to integrate cloud and AI solutions into the digital wealth platform.
• Design and manage scalable and secure cloud infrastructure solutions.
• Optimize cloud resources to ensure high availability, performance, and cost-efficiency.
• Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate cloud services seamlessly.
• Develop and manage the digital wealth product roadmap, ensuring alignment with market trends, customer needs, and business priorities.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of project goals, progress, and outcomes.

Qualification:

• Degree in Finance, Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Experience and knowledge of AI and machine learning frameworks and their application in financial services
• Understanding of financial services, wealth management, and the ability to translate technological innovations into business value.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to take ownership of projects and drive them forward, fostering innovation and team collaboration.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and knowledge of cloud architecture, deployment, and management
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
• Relevant certifications, such as AI/ML certifications, are highly valued though not mandatory.
