Position Description
Applicants should have PhD degree in electrical and Electronic Engineering, or a
closely related discipline. Candidates who have a Master degree and extensive
industry or vocational experience may also be considered. A strong background and teaching experience in one or more of the following areas: RF Integrated Circuits and Systems, Mixed-Signal Integrated Circuits and Systems, Circuits and Systems for Artificial Intelligence, Power Management Circuits and Systems, Ultra-low Power Circuits and System, Digital Circuits and Systems, Hardware Description Language, would be an advantage.
 

Fresh PhD graduates would be considered but preferences are given to candidates with relevant working/teaching experience in Universities.
 

Responsibilities
The successful candidates are expected to teach courses in the fields of Integrated Circuit Design at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Job Responsibilities:

· Design and implementation of mixed signal CMOS IP. Development cycle including circuit design, simulation, modeling, verification and bench characterization.

· Management products utilizing leading edge sub-micron CMOS technologies, e.g., 5/6nm

· Developing state of the art high speed mixed signal IP products that include op amps, comparators, bandgap, low-drop linear regulator, ADCs, DC-DC converters, and high bit-rate (Gbps) Serdes TX/RX.

Requirements:

· Bachelor or above degree in Microelectronic or Electronic and Information Engineering

· 5 years or above experience in the area of analog design

· Good knowledge in analog IC design in high speed Serdes, e.g., PLL, CDR, CTLE/DFE, TX driver etc.

• Solid understanding and experience in key analog layout considerations such as device matching, parasitic, noise coupling, floor planning, sensitive signal routing, current density and reliability considerations
• Familiar with SPICE simulation tool (e.g., Cadence spectre, Synopsys Custom Compiler, Calibre)

· Strong Communication skills, high level of independence, self-motivation and good team player

Summary:

Designs, develops, modifies, and evaluates integrated circuits (ICs) for a battery powered consumer appliances.

Description:

Responsibilities and Duties include but not limited to:

• Implementing the solutions including schematic capture, simulation and layout verification & supervision using commercially available analog design tools.
• Verify the implementation both at the block level and top level.
• Verifying & characterizing the circuit on the bench.
• Candidate will be working on power management IC system including buck, boost, buck-boost, charge pump & LDO. Working knowledge of DC/DC converter will be advantageous.
• Candidate is also required to work with test & product engineering team to develop test program or to support product engineering.
