• Generate innovative ideas and initiative in new product design.
• Involved in the full product development cycle from conceptual design, component selection, part detail design, managing vendor tool fabrication, parts approval, and mass production.
• Define and share the Design for Manufacturing (DFM) in the process flow diagram with Critical to Quality on the parameters with tolerance control that meet the product manufacturing in simulation performance expectation.
• Build up capability in product design for servicing, installation, and maintenance within R&D and Customer Service (CS). Understand and document design requirements for servicing, maintenance, and installation together with the CS Team.
• To adapt mold making process from design drawings.
• Involved in product sustenance engineering and value engineering.
• Ensure product design meets mandatory and quality requirements, within targeted cost and project timeline.
• Liaise with vendors on parts, tools, or mold fabrication to ensure quality and timely delivery.
• Set up and perform Product Validation Tests to qualify products developed.
• Experience in assessing supplier capability will be an added advantage.

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical / Mechatronic Engineering with at least 3 years related experience in designing for medium to large-scale production. Candidates with relevant knowledge and work experience will be considered for the Senior / Team Lead position
• Knowledge in injection molding, material, and component selection.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and technical aspects of ceramics is a plus.
• Experience in designing products using sheet metal and plastic parts.
• Experience in using 3D CAD such as SolidWorks or Pro-E (Creo) for product design is a must.
• Knowledge in FEA (Finite Element Analysis)/CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamic) in Altair simulation will be preferred.
• Analyse test & simulation data using experimental design and statistical methods, evaluate failure data to find root causes and implement sound engineering solutions.

Job Summary:

Attached to a project as a key member of the design team; will be responsible for the proper and timely execution in accordance with the control estimate and specific requirements of the project. Also responsible for ensuring that the Global policies, are followed and manage the activities as assigned by Group Lead/DM.

Main Duties:

· Preparation, checking of electrical design deliverables like SDL, schematic, specification, data sheet, calculation, layouts, reports, etc.

· Site survey to design and specify modification scope on existing system, perform adequacy check etc. for brown field projects.

· Inter discipline design interface and coordination.

· Participate in the Client meeting.

· Maintaining Hold List/Comments Log/Assumption List.

· RFI response, support assignment during construction

Requirements:

· Minimum 10 years of working experience in Pharmaceutical/Chemical/FMCG with Engineering consultancy.

· Software Skills: ETAP/SKM, AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux/AGI32, Navis work, & general Microsoft Office skills.

· Experience in Electric design skills for Single line diagrams, preparation of technical specifications of various high & low side electrical equipment like Substation, Transformer, Switch yards, Motor/Power control centers

· Experience in Sizing and calculation for Earthing, Illumination, Cables (HV/LV), DG sets, UPS, power factor correction.

· Experience in Sizing of cable trays, bus ducts, Risk assessment of lightening protection of building and structures. Lighting and power design for clean room system

· Experience in Design of ELV system (fire alarm, PA, CCTV, ACS, Voice and data)

· Ability to participate in client meetings, review 3D models using Navis work, guide designer to carry forward design.

· Good knowledge of International Codes and Standards such as IEC, IEEE, BS, ANSI, IP, NEC and IS

· Advanced knowledge of Singapore local code, standards and regulatory

Minimum Job Requirements

A degree in Chemical Engineering Discipline with Minimum 10 years in Process Department of a consultancy organization. Candidate should possess knowledge in carrying out basic and detailed engineering work. Candidate should have experience of working for pharma projects. Candidate should have knowledge of following:

· Preparing Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs).

· Candidate should be able to carry out hydraulic calculations.

· Candidate should be well versed with safety valve device sizing in line with API-520/521 or client approved standards.

· Candidate should be capable of generating equipment data sheets, IPDS and working on packages in close coordination with interdiscipline engineers.

· Candidate should be able to perform process calculations like heat & mass balance, utility summary and equipment sizing.

· Candidates should be able to carry out Capacity Mapping for Pharmaceutical Projects such Bio tech, OSD and API.

· Exposure of simulation software’s such as HYSYS, ASPEN, HTRI.

· Should possess knowledge of Area classification and man material flow concepts.

· Should be well aware of regulatory requirements of USFDA, MHRA and WHO etc.

· Should possess knowledge on equipment selection.

· Should be able to participate in PHA, HAZOP sessions and close PHA recommendations.

· Should be able to support Sales and Project Managers for any new prospectus and proposals.

· Should be able to guide young process engineers.

Measurement and Performance

Through regular contact with discipline and project personnel and by regular review of the project status reports, ensure up to-date and reliable statistical information on project performance.

Improve the productivity by means of reduction of rework and errors.

Responsibilities

Review technical requirements of client’s specifications and ensure that agreement is reached on the basis of design. Participate in discussions with the client, as necessary.

Monitor that work and progress are in compliance with the project requirements and schedule.

Maintain contact with other disciplines/groups to ensure:

- Project Manager and/or Engineer are aware of problems of progress delays.

- Proper interchange of information.

- Proper interchange of documents

- Interface is correctly defined.
