Responsibilities:

• Design system while adhering to design and engineering principles of transmission substation/Industry, incorporate equipment, system, and safety features in design plans, comply with local and national safety standard and ethics that come with the design engineer role.
• Maintain records and documents of all the work and design in accordance with unit and customer requirement.
• Work in within the proposed schedule and budget for the project and liaise with project stakeholders with status update to them regarding the status of the work.
• Coordinate mechanical and electrical tests on design, if required, conduct tests on equipment against fundamental design.
• Manage department's compliance with organization’s risk management framework, review design drawings for practicability, completion timeframe and research capabilities.
• Assist in development engineering resource planning strategy, coordinate with factory and supplier to ensure the design meet with the requirement, prepare design related calculation and issue bill of material·

Your background:

• Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Preferably with experience in Electrical/Transmission Industry.

The Senior Design Engineer is responsible for structural analysis and design compliance are met for the project.

A summary of the responsibilities of this position are, and not limited to, as follows:

• Conduct structure analysis
• Provide technical engineering information to ensure compliance with all engineering standards, codes, specifications and design instructions.
• Develop architectural/engineering drawings and ensure specifications/regulations are followed.
• Liaise with architects, engineers and other departments to ensure that the design intentions are met.
• Prepare bills of quantities and cost estimation whenever required

As part of our established team of security consultants, you will prepare concept, developed and technical electronic security systems designs. The proposals you create will include schedules, schematics, design specifications and technical documentation all in keeping with client requirements, regulations and standards.

The Skills

You will have a good background in the design and engineering of security systems (including video surveillance, access control, intruder alarm, intercom and integrated security management systems) and will have gained experience in delivering these following the RIBA Plan of Work design stages or equivalent.
