JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design and Production

Design and/or produce the following key products. The exact extent of your work and responsibilities will depend on your level of experience and expertise.

• The Singapore Symphony’s annual season brochure
• Concert programme booklets

The Designer will coordinate with external vendors should these projects be done externally.

Creative Support

Working with department teammates, interns and external vendors to design or provide design support to such items as:

• Original artwork for use as concert key visuals, posters etc.
• Sourcing, curating, editing and adapting pre-existing assets (e.g. artist photos) for ads, social media, websites, etc.
• Ad hoc brochures, flyers, posters and print ads.
• Merchandise.
• Video production for branding or social media purposes, such as editing footage and photos into trailers.

Brand Guardianship & Marketing

To become familiar with the brand guidelines and identity of the Singapore Symphony Group, in order to uphold the brand integrity and quality of design work done within the company and by external parties.

Your design ethic should be geared towards the business of marketing, with a keen eye for what sells events and good taste in representing the Singapore Symphony brand.

Desirable Traits:

• Appreciation of (classical) music with some familiarity of its conventions.
• Expertise in photography and videography.
