Role & Responsibilities:

· To liaise and coordinate with external consultants and the client team to ensure delivery of design intent.

· Preparation of tender documents and specifications.

· To assist and support the office in any type of architectural project.

· Liaison with Government Authorities on Project execution and delivery.

· Project management and coordination.

· Progress monitoring and site inspections.

· Initiative to resolve problems that arise during construction.

· Carry out Feasibility Study, Concept / Schematic Designs, Design Development and Design Detailing.

· Attend project meetings and writing of meeting minutes.

· Preparation of forms and submission of plans to Authorities for approval.

Technical Expertise:

· Be familiar with prevailing regulations and codes governing construction and architectural practice.

· Contract administration (SIA/PSSCOC forms of contract).

· Good technical knowledge and strong detailing capability.

Requirements:

· Degree and/or Diploma from a recognized university.

· Min. 1-2 years of relevant working experience in Singapore.

· Passion for design, a commitment to continued learning and the desire to innovate.

· Strong design portfolio exhibiting a range of design experience in residential, commercial, institutional and industrial projects

· Possess creative design thinking and excellent design detailing skills.

· Competency in AutoCAD, Sketch-Up, Microsoft Office as well as basic rendering, graphics publishing software programs.

· Familiar with Singapore Building Codes of Practices and Regulations

· Familiar with Singapore e-Corenet submission system.

Job Description

• Assist client in developing design brief
• Conduct pre-design research on regulatory requirements
• Conduct site investigation i.e. check RLP, SIP, DIP and other necessary regulations
• Brainstorm ideas and develop initial design
• Ensure initial design complies with regulatory requirements
• Consult authorities on specific regulatory requirements
• Assist client to refine design brief
• Further develop the design in detail to meet requirements for Development Control Submissions and all other relevant regulatory requirements
• Prepare outline specifications to determine preferred materials, quality and construction method
• Develop all spaces in detail (exterior, interior, landscape)
• Refine plan and promotion enhancing feel & space
• Enhance aesthetics thought analytical design detailing
• Ensure design intention is translatable to working drawings through construction
• Ensure that design complies with regulatory requirements
• Provide client with recommendations on materials and construction method that is in line with the design intent
• Work closely with Project Administrator to develop Sketchup model in accordance to exact specifications.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure that design intent is adhered to.
• Troubleshoot design problems, if any.

• Understand and analyse design flaws and defect arising from design
